"No, Minho, we are not doing a sexy dance for our performance," I tell the stubborn boy yet again, hiding my slight smile at his persistence.
He retaliates, "But Suwei! Just think about it: The four of us would dominate the stage doing a sexy yet powerful concept."
I am with the dance line of Stray Kids—Minho, Hyunjin, and Felix—to work on our performance for the concert our groups are having together, and we are struggling to decide on a song.
"We could cover 'Highlight' by Seventeen. There's a version with just the four members of the performance team, so that would be easy for us to learn the choreography for," Felix suggests.
Hyunjin falls back onto the floor, sighing in the process, "I wish we could have two performances. That way we could cover the song and make our own choreography."
"Genius!" Minho jumps up, "With two performances, we could do a sexy concept and a not sexy concept."
I mentally facepalm. This is what I have to deal with. Felix and Hyunjin just laugh as the older boy excitedly calls the Stray Kids manager.
Minho puts his phone on speakerphone and places it in the middle of the four of us, patiently waiting as the phone keeps ringing.
The Stray Kids manager finally picks up, "Hello?"
"Hello, my wonderful manager that I love and adore!" Minho enthusiastically greets, making the three of us stifle a laugh.
His manager audibly sighs, "What is it this time, Minho?"
"Could the dance unit have two performances for the concert?"
"Sure," the manager replies, earning a silent cheer from Minho, "But can I ask why?"
Minho smirks, "I want to choreograph a sexy dance."
His manager pauses, "What have I done?"
Before their manager can protest, Minho quickly hangs up the call after saying, "Bye, my lovely manager! I love you!"
We all burst out laughing after he hangs up. Lee Minho never fails to surprise me.
"Alright," Hyunjin chuckles, "With that out of the way, let's start working on the Seventeen cover. We can work on our own choreography later."
