Nyla and I are currently working on some new songs for the next mission with the guidance of Jisung and Changbin. The two boys are mainly staying out of the way to ensure the song is really our work, but they are helping us in areas we do not know as well as they are more experienced.
The girl sighs, "These lyrics are too serious."
"The song itself is upbeat though. Don't be so hard on yourself," Changbin says, patting Nyla on the shoulder.
"Well, we have the song we performed for PDnim and the one you just finished, so why not make the third one more fun?" I suggest.
Jisung agrees with me, "That would finish the requirement PDnim gave you of two new original songs. How many songs are you supposed to perform anyway?"
"Just those three I think," I reply to the older boy, "If we need more, Suwei suggested we perform either our cover of GOT7's 'Mayday' or the song Nyla made awhile ago based off 'Turn Up' by GOT7."
He nods, "That sounds good. Back to the songs, do any of you have ideas for lyrics that aren't so serious?"
I look through my notes, "Not really."
"Looks like we're starting from scratch then," Nyla says while clicking a pen in her hand.
"We'd love to stay and help but Chan needs us for practice. I'm so sorry," Changbin frowns.
I smile to reassure him, "Don't worry about it. You shouldn't waste your practice time on us."
Nyla confirms my statement, "You've been a huge help already: Thank you."
"Thanks for understanding," Jisung tells us, "Send us the song when you have a guide recorded?"
"Of course," I tell them.
They grab their things and exit the studio, leaving Nyla and I to work on the lyrics.

"Okay, what's an event that made you super happy?" Nyla turns to ask me.
I ponder over the events in my life, "I guess just the spontaneous things, like how one day we just decided to learn dancing, singing, and rapping. We never tried to develop the talent much at first, it was just a random idea that kept us busy."
Nyla nods and writes some stuff down before speaking, "Any other spontaneous memories?"
I replay our moments in California, recalling one especially happy night.
"Remember that time when neither of us could sleep, so we texted about the most random stuff before deciding we wanted to see the stars?" I ask her, grinning at the memory.
Her eyes light up, "We called Suwei like ten times before she finally woke up and agreed to go with us."
I chuckle as the distant moment becomes more clear in my mind, "We all met up at the park in the middle of our houses and started randomly walking until we found a place in the city where the stars were clearer."
"Our parents were pissed the next day when they found out we snuck out," she joins me in laughter.
"But it was completely worth it," I finish the memory.
She smiles, "Absolutely."
Nyla continues to write more things down as I listen to the soft sound of a pen scratching along the paper. She slides the paper in front of me, and I start reading it.
"This encapsulates that night perfectly," I tell her, looking up from the piece of paper.
"And," she finds a file on her computer, "Imagine how it would sound just before this drop."
I add onto that, "Plus, how it would look with Suwei's choreography."
She chuckles, "I think we've got the third song."
