After having some difficulties on the way, we finally arrive to Asgard via the Bifrost.

I look at the horizon and see the rainbow bridge and the castle in all its glory. Thor pats my shoulder and we start to walk down to the mainland.

Thor wraps and arm around me and swings Mjölnir into the air and we fly towards the main centre.

We land safely on the ground and Thor lets go of me. I look around in awe. "Where's everyone?" I ask Thor.

"I don't know." Thor replies.

We both turn around and see a huge statue of Loki. God how I miss him.

"Let's go that way." Thor points to the statue and we make our way towards it.

We arrive to a crowded place with people focused on something but I ignore it and take in the sights.

Suddenly, I hear shouting and I turn around because I really hoped someone was ok. "No!"

I turn and see a performance on a stone stage with two men dressed as Thor and Loki. Then, a man dressed as Odin walks on with the "Thor" and "Loki" walk off.

"And so, Loki died of his wounds, giving his life for ours. He fought back those disgusting elves, he brought peace to the realm." The "Odin" turns and talks to a boy covered in blue paint. "Loki, my boy... 'Twas many moons ago I found you on that frostbitten battlefield. On that day, I did not yet see in you Asgard's savior. No. You were merely a little blue baby icicle that melted this old fool's heart."

I look at Thor, whose gaze is fixed on the real Odin. "Father!" He shouts to get his father's attention.

"Oh, Shit." Odin mumbles and I slightly catch it. Something's odd about Odin. "My son, Thor, has returned! Greetings, my boy."

"It's an interesting play. What's it called?" I speak.

"The Tragedy of Loki of Asgard. The people wanted to commemorate him." Odin says. He pauses and looks at me.

"Indeed they should." Thor says stopping an awkward silence.

"I like the statue." I say.

"A lot better looking than he was
when he was alive, though. A little less weaselly, less greasy, maybe." Thor says in a teasing tone. "Do you know what this is?"

"The skull of Surtur. That's a formidable weapon!" Odin replies.

"Do me a favor. Lock this away in a vault so it doesn't turn into a giant monster and destroy the whole planet." Thor hands the skull to an Asgardian.

"So it's back to Midgard for you, is it?"

"Nope. I've been having this reoccurring dream lately. Every night,
I see Asgard fall into ruins."

"That's just a silly dream, signs of an overactive imagination."

"Possibly. But then I decide to go out there and investigate. And what do I find, but the Nine Realms completely in chaos. Enemies of Asgard assembling, plotting our demise, all while you, Odin, the protector of those Nine Realms, are sitting here in your bathrobe, eating grapes."

I let out a small giggle but I quickly cover my mouth with my hands.

"Yes, it is best to respect our neighbors' freedom." Odin stays starting to hesitate upon his words.

"Yes, of course, the freedom to be massacred."

"Yes, besides I've been rather busy myself. Watching theater. Board meetings, and security council meetings..." Odin starts stumbling with his words more than before.

"You're really gonna make me do it?" Thor saying this makes Odin and I look at him in confusion.

"Do what?"

Thor throws Mjölnir into the horizon and moves Odin in front of him. "You know that nothing will stop Mjölnir as it returns to my hand. Not even your face."

"Thor what are you doing?" I ask slightly worried that he'll do something he regrets.

"You've gone quite mad. You'll be executed for this." Odin says.

"Then I'll see you on the other side,
brother." Thor whispers into Odin's ear and I hear every word.

Odin moves out of the way and turns into Loki. "All right, I yield." Loki?

"Behold! Thor... Odinson." Skurge says catching his breath.

"No." Loki says annoyed with him. "You had one job. Just the one."

"Where's Odin?" Thor asks his supposedly 'dead' brother.

"Y/n, what are you doing here?" Loki asks me walking towards me and holds my arm, rubbing it with his thumb.

"I wanted to see Asgard for myself, to see where two of my favourite people grew up as young boys." I reply happiness lingering in my voice.

"Where's Odin?!" Thor repeats himself angrily.

"You just couldn't stay away, could you? Everything was fine without you. Asgard was prospering. You've ruined everything."

Thor starts walking towards Loki, holding Mjölnir ready. Loki starts walking back, a little scared.

"Where's Father? Did you kill him?"

"You had what you wanted. You had the independence you asked for." Loki falls back on a chair and Thor places Mjölnir on his chest. "Okay. I know exactly where he is."
