Chapter 8

Athena's POV

I have been doing better since that whole almost suicide thing. I have been staying with Jeff. My sister has been checking in on me. I took a break from wrestling for a little while. Jeff said it is probably best I recover fully from all of that. It has been 4 months since I have been away from wrestling. People have been questioning me but to be honest it is best I take this break. But tomorrow I am gonna go back to smackdown without anyone knowing. Not even Jeff.

"Hey Athena?" Jeff asked.

"Yea? " I responded getting snapped out of my thoughts.

"I need too talk to you later tonight. I am not going to smack down anymore." He informed me. This will ruin my whole plan. He goes to smackdown and I sneak there. I can't sneak with him here.

"Uh no. You should go to smackdown." I suggested.

"Nah it's fine." He said.

" No, no, no! Go to smackdown!! " I sighed.

"But why?" He asked.

"I-" I stopped myself. "Just go. Please."

"Fine." He gave me a confused look. He started driving to smackdown I got my gear. I put on a hoodie. I got to the arena. I covered my face with my hoodie. I got to my locker room. I walked out. Everyone was shocked to see me but I just lied and said I came to check on everyone. I saw Paige. We talked for a little.

"Yea Nattie is stressed because she doesn't know who her opponent is." Paige explained .

"Yea I bet." I sighed.

Jeff's POV

Ok so I know I should trust Athena but she is acting weird. She usually wants me to stay. and now all of a sudden she wants me to go? No! Something is happening. Right after my match I'm heading back.

Athena's POV

I was in my gear. I was excited.

"Whoever my opponent is I will demolish!! So whoever it is watch out! I will completely break you." She threw the mic. "COME OUT!!!" She yelled at the screen.

The crowd freaked out.

"I'm back! And if you don't like that then too bad!" I smiled. The crowd cheered . I ran into the ring.

Jeff's POV

I was watching the divas match because to be honest I was intrigued to see who was Nattie 's opponent. I was also anxious to go home and might see Athena cheating. I sighed.

"COME OUT!!!" I heard her yell at the screen.

"I'm back! And if you don't like that then too bad!" She smiled. I smirked.

"Oh my goodness!" I mummbled to myself. Her match was finished . She won. I went to gorrilla and met her there. I clapped as she walked in.

"Athena Bevis!" I smiled.

"I'm back!" She sung the same way she did out there.

"I thought you were cheating on me!" I scoffed.

"Why would I cheat when I have the greatest guy ever? Also what did you need to talk about earlier?" She asked.

"Oh uh let's go to the locker room first." I said. She nodded.

"Ok now what?" She asked.

"We have loved each other for a while and I realized that we should now date. So will you be mine?" I asked.

"I thought you'd never ask!" She said with her cute British accent. She was blushing.

"Oh look at that! Athena Bevis is blushing for Jeff Hardy? " He smirked.

"Shut up!" She playfully hit my shoulder. I laughed. She went to her locker room.

Athena's POV

I went to my locker room. I opened it. I saw Baron Corbin. I gasped.

"Get out!" I pointed to the door.

"No thanks!" He smirked.

"What do you want Mr. Corbin? " I asked.

"It isn't what I want, it is what you are willing to give me." He smiled. I rolled my eyes.

"Give it up Corbin! I'm taken!" I scoffed.

"Oh that's not a problem." He gave me a creepy look.

"To me it is." I tried to walk away but he pushed me to the ground. I looked at him with the fear in my eyes. He got on top of me. And you could picture the rest. He left me lying there. Helpless. I got up and went in my restroom. I had bruises everywhere. Also cuts. I cried. I put on my hoodie. I was wearing shorts. Jeff wouldn't notice.

"What's wrong?" Jeff asked.

" What? Nothing? " I gave him a confused look.

"Ok?" It was a quiet ride to the hotel. When we got back I put on shorts and a tank top. Jeff started kissing me. My shirt went up a little. He saw some of the bruises. He also saw that I had a busted lip. He took of my shirt and saw everything

"What's that?" He asked.

"Nothing." I lied.

"No, Athena that isn't nothing! That's something!!" He yelled.

"You know what Jeff! It's really nothing!! It was the match!! It's my first time back! I'm rusty!" I said.

"Uh no! I saw you during the match. You had the lead through the whole match! She didn't even have a swing at you." He denied.

"Oh then I don't know what it's from." I lied.
