Chapter 49

Jeff's POV

*Two months since incident*

Athena has been doing so much better. She is happier now. She tells me how she feels everyday. I was going to the RAW arena. Athena was with Ember Moon, Ronda Rousey, and Nattie at a cafè. So I met her here. Stephanie called me into her office.

 "Hey Jeff." She smiled as I sat down.

 "Hey." I smiled back.

 "So you know I've been thinking. You know how you and Athena love your job and plan on staying her for a long while?" She asked. 

 "Yes.....?" I gave her a confused look.

 "Well you want to keep it right? And your job means more than your girlfriend right?" She asked.

 "No. I love Athena more." I nodded.

 "Well do you want Athena, you, and Saraya to lose your jobs?" She asked getting up.

 "No! I know how much WWE means to them. Especially since Saraya is the general manager of smackdown. she loves doing that. And Athena just came back." I explained.

 "Well they will unless...... No. You would never do it." Stephanie nodded. 

 "No! I would do anything to have them keep their jobs." I denied. She smirked.

 "Well break up with her." She smiled.

 "Wait no!" I yelled.

 "Fine." She nodded. She took out her phone and made a call to Vince. "Hey daddy! So uh I feel like Jeff, Athena, and Paige aren't working hard enough. Can you-" 

 "No!! I will do it!" I yelled.

 "Never mind!" She smiled and hung up.

 "Go do it." She smirked. I walked out and slammed the door. I knocked on Athena's locker room . She kissed me and I pulled away.

 "Baby. What's wrong?" She asked.

 "I can't be with you." I sighed. I felt my eyes tear up for two reasons. One I truly love her. Two this is gonna make her depressed.

 "But Jeff. Everything was going so great." She said as tears poured in for her eyes.

 "I know. I don't wanna do it." I sighed.

 "Wow. I was gonna give you this. Also I was going crazy when I was depressed and then I was fine because you helped me. And now you are making it worse!!! I loved you!!!" She yelled and threw some papers at me and left. I unfolded the papers. One was a letter to me saying how much she loved me and she felt like she wanted to marry me and one day she would want kids. Then next three were papers with the words 'don't think about it it'll all be over soon' all over it. I felt bad. Then I went or my locker room. I put on Athena's match. I noticed I could see her ribs. Usually you couldn't. She's was super skinny now. You could see all her bones. She lost her match. It was against Alexa Bliss. They are having a rivalry. Before she came from her match there was a knock. It was Saraya.

 "Watching your ex's match?" Saraya asked.

 "Yea." I sighed.

 "What's wrong?" She asked sitting down and closing the door.

 "I miss Athena." I groaned.

 "Then why did you break up with her, stupid?" Saraya chuckled.

 "Becuase-" I lowered my voice. "Stephanie said if I don't she will take away your job, Athena's job, and my job. I know how much you and Athena love your jobs."

 "Well I have a plan. Next Monday, we need the whole RAW roster." Saraya smirked.
