Chapter 36

Athena's POV

*Three weeks later*

I hate this!! I see Jeff walking down the halls. He always looks at me and Baron. He just shakes his head and storms off. I love him so much! I don't love Baron! He is cheating on me. So why not break up with him? Because he abusive. He threatens me. He says if I break up with him he will ruin my life and all that. I'm scared. He is gone right now. I screenshots his texts with the other girl and sent them to myself so I could get them. 

Jeff💔: Hey! So I know you hate me. I also know you are dating Baron now but I have to talk to you. So right now I'm at the gym closest to the hotel. If you don't come here in 30 minutes I'll just assume you didn't wanna talk. Which would be fine but I just HAVE to talk to you.

Should I go? I got up and of course got dressed. I wore a Black choker and painted my nails before I left. I painted them black. I put on a small black crop top and black skinny jeans. I went to the gym and didn't see him. He left... didn't he? I sighed and turned around. I started to walk away.

 "Athena!" Jeff called out.

 "Jeff!" I turned around.

 "Can we talk now?" He asked.

 "Yea." I sighed.

 "So I know you don't trust me but just here me out! I wasn't cheating on you! What happened is Beth texted me when you were gone saying she is gonna come over to my hotel room because for some reason Matt told her my room number. Then she came and I was telling her about how you miss Ruby. She said she wants to share custody. And I said I don't know. and we started talking about Ruby. I swear I would never do that. So can you leave Baron for me?" He explained.

 "I love you.... but I can't." I let tears stream down my face.

 "Why not? Do you love Baron?" Her asked worried.

 "No. He will...." I cried. "I can't. I'm scared Jeff." I whispered. He looked worried. He hugged me as I cried into his shoulder. He rubbed my back. "I have to go." I whispered letting go. He waved to me. He mouthed the words 'I love you' to me. I mouthed them back. I went back to the hotel room only to get lectured.

 "Where were you?" Baron asked.

 "I went for a quick walk." I closed the door.

 "Why didn't you text me?" He's raised his voice a little.

 "I'm sorry, I forgot." I whispered.

 "I know where you actually were." He calmed down a little. "With Jeff."

 "I'm sorry." I whispered again.

"I'm gonna beat him up!!" He yelled.

"No! Please! It was my fault! Not his! I asked to meet up!!!" I lied. He grabbed my wrist tightly.

"If you ever talk to him again I will ruin your life!" He slapped me. I let tears fall out and have him a dirty look.

"I hate you." I whispered as he left the room. I looked through the screenshots of him cheating. 

This was it:

Baron: Hey baby! I want you to come over so bad but that stupid girl is being clingy. I hate her!

Girl: Leave me alone. You have a gf.

Baron: I broke up with her but she won't stop bothering me.

Girl: Oh then come over. 

Baron: Great! Be there in five minutes!

I let tears escape my eyes. I took out my phone and texted Jeff.

Me: Help. I'm scared. He won't let me talk to you.

Jeff: Trick him and say you need something from the store. Then come over with your stuff and stay with me. I won't let him know your here.

Me: He'll find me sooner or later. 

Jeff: True. And next time he sees you it might be twice as worse then it would be. But I promise you, I'll get you out.

Then Baron took my phone. He read the texts. He grabbed my wrist. He pulled me off the bed and threw me into the wall. I screamed. He punched me and clawed at my injured eye. He scratched my arms. He kicked me in the ribs several times. He left me there on the ground, cold. I felt like I was gonna be unconscious. I felt sick. I can't call Jeff. What do I do?
