Chapter 35: Don't

~Jc's POV~

"hey Jc, have you heard the news?" Connor asked.

"what?" i asked, as i lifted his head up.

"Hailey is coming to visit us, tomorrow" Connor smiled.

"that's horrible! i'm a mess, she can't see me like this!" i screamed, as i ran into the back of the bus.

"good try, Connor" Trevor sighed.

"i thought he would be happy to see her, guess not"

i screamed, as i fell onto my bed. Hailey can't come, she can't. just when i thought my life couldn't get any worse.

"she's going to be at the show, just so you know!" Kian called.

please make it stop. please, i know she's doing this to make my life worse. Lia as well. i know there is something wrong with me. i need help. no, i need alcohol.

please tomorrow can't come, but it will.

"hey Jc! she's here!" Ricky screamed, as he opened up the curtain. "oh Jc, please... Hailey just wants to make sure you're okay. we thought you'd be happy to see her. i promise you she won't leave you ok. just come on out and say hello?" Ricky suggested.

i stood up slowly as ricky lead me into the front of the bus.

"um hi" i announced as i walked in.

and there she was, i saw her turn around and beam. she was beautiful, and i did this too myself. i lost her, and that was on me.

"Jc! hi" she smiled, as she came over to me and hugged me.

"uh huh hi Hailey" i stuttered.

"how have you been?" she asked.

"urm i um-" i started, when the bus door opened. no please, don't let it be Lia. no Lia please.

i saw a man, a brunette walk in. i had no idea who this was. who was he? he smiled, as he entered. he made his way over to us. who the hell is this dude? 

"oh, sorry i'm late" he flashed a smile.

"it's okay" Hailey smiled. "oh, sorry this is Jace, my boyfriend" Hailey smiled.

BOYFRIEND?! damn, now i know for sure i lost her. my heart is broken. but it's all my fault, i let her get away from me.

"Jace? i've heard that name before...." Connor started. "where have you been? why haven't i heard you mention a Jace before?" 

"oh um...." Hailey stated.

"it''s okay Hailey, it's your brother we can tell him" Jace smiled.

"tell me what? tell us what?" Connor asked.

"i um, well.... it was because of Hailey's brother that i met her. she came to visit her brother when she met me"

"what are you saying?" Connor asked.

"i was in the cell next to her brother. i got to know her everytime she came to see her brother"

"are you saying you were in jail?! Hailey!" Connor screamed.

"it wasn't his fault!" Hailey screamed back.

"it's true..." he nodded.

"enough out of you!" Connor screamed.

the bus door opened again and in walked Lia. "hey i was wondering..." she started, as she looked up. "oh, s-sorry i didn't know you guys were in the middle of something" Lia stuttered before running out of the bus.

"i need air!" i screamed, before running out as well.

i ran out and gasped for air, this was all too much for me. i need space, i need more air. i turned the corner to find Lia on the phone.

"no! you listen to me, i did everything you told to me. now, what's in it for me?" she silently screamed into the phone.

i hid behind the wall, silently listening.

"but why? what more could you want? oh and by the way... i think he knows? he told someone, and once they catch you, it won't be long until they find me?..... why? because YOU framed him, and i went along with it because YOU promised!" Lia yelled.

what the hell is she talking about?

"he's starting to remember? why? because he was there that night! he saw everything, even you.... you did it. and if he remembers everything, nothing will stop him form going to the police. and if i go down, i'm dragging you down with me"

i'm so confused... what is Lia going on about. i have a headache. 

"he will tell him, once he remembers. you said he would NEVER remember. i'm getting scared, they're all getting close to finding out what happened that night. i need more time!"

this is all too much. i rubbed my head as i made my way back to the bus. when i walked onto the bus, my worst fear came true. Hailey kissing another guy.

i screamed, they turned and stared at me. i screamed again. no, my life is over. i surrender!

i screamed as i sat up from my bed, my heart beating about 100x faster than usual. i wiped the sweat off of my forehead. what the hell just happened? i gasped as i looked around, i was on the bus. i grabbed my phone and looked at the time; 4:17 a.m. oh god, was it a dream? but why did it feel so real? i gasped again, as i stood up and made my way to the front of the bus and sat on the couch. 

c'mon Jc, get a hold of yourself. it was a dream, just a dream. breathe, it's okay. it was only a dream.

curtain slid open to the right and Connor walked in. "i heard you scream, you okay?" he asked from the doorway.

"bad dream" i muttered. 

"about Hailey?" he asked.

"how'd you know?" i asked. 

"because i know you love her, but i'm really worried about you Jc. so, tomorrow i'm getting you help. you can argue all you want, but all of us are worried about you, and i'd hate to see Hailey know this you" Connor sighed.

"Connor?" i asked, as he looked at me.

"yeah?"

"thanks for looking after me" i smiled.

"no problem, now get some sleep" he yawned as he walked into the back of the bus.

"i will" i whispered.

okay, now i think all of you will hate me haha. 

just to clarify the first part of the chapter was a dream. it was a dream, Hailey did not visit them, Jc just dreamed all of that, including Lia's phone call. what do you think about that?
