"I am very sorry for hurting your feelings, Nat. I would do anything to make up for all the things that I have done to you in the past." Steve says, his voice filled with regret.
Natasha bitterly laughs as she replies,"Make up for it? Then, what about my innocence, Steve?"
"I used to love you with all my heart, you know, but now I realised that it was not meant for a loveless person like you, Steve Rogers."
And yet, Natasha found herself unable to look away from him. His beautiful cold blue eyes were still staring into her eyes, piercing her soul the same way he always had.
But no, nothing could be the same anymore. Maybe she still held that deep affection for him that no one ever had. But nothing could be the same anymore, for he was still the same man who broke not only her heart, but her soul too.
