"What happened?" Seul-Ra, their mom asked worriedly. She ushered them both in and helped Chaewon bring her son into the livingroom. "Can somebody explain to me why Jun-Seo has his cheek scratched up?"

"It was nothing eom-- "

"It was her damn boyfriend," Her brother butt in. "I swear to god I should've punched back."

"B-Boyfriend?"

"No no no!" Chaewon chuckled nervously as she sat next to her mom. She grabbed her hands and smiled sheepishly; in hopes the mother won't scold her for hanging out with a guy. "He's just my friend, Taehyung and --"

"Wait," she cut her off. "T-Taehyung?" Chaewon nodded her head and smiled.

Didn't Gab Soon said he's studying overseas?

"D-Did he say he was your friend before?"

"No. B-But he's my friend now!"

Seul Ra was worried. Not because of her hanging out with a guy but, because she's afraid Chaewon would remember Taehyung. Before her daughter proceed with her surgery back in US, all she ever talked about was him. She talked so much about him that, one night, Seul Ra heard her daughter cried herself to sleep; whimpering about how sorry she was to leave Taehyung.

She didn't want the same event to happen again. Not this time.

"I want you to stay away from him, Chaewon."

"But --"

"Look what he did to your brother," she complained. "There's no doubt this boy is a thug."

"It was an accident!" she rose her voice. "And Taehyung is not a thug, eomma. He's just --"

"Stay away from him. End of discussion!" Her mother snapped. Tears threatened to come out as Chaewon clenched her fist. It was the first time her mother ever yelled at her, let alone made her cry.

Chaewon abruptly left the livingroom and stormed upstairs. She walked past her step-dad; Seoktae and went straight to her room. Seul Ra on the other hand; buried her face in her palms and let out a quiet sigh.

"What's going on here?" Seoktae asked as he entered the livingroom. "What's wrong with Chaewon? She seemed pretty upset."

"It's Taehyung," she muffled.

"You mean the guy she left?"

"Woah wait!" Jun-Seo as always; jumped into the conversation. "You know him too, appa?"

"What are we going to do?" She groaned; ignoring her step-son. Seoktae went to sit beside her; pulling his wife into an embrace. "Taehyung's a good boy but, I don't want a repeat of last year's mistake."

"Good boy? Tch," Jun-Seo stood up and glared at both his parents. "Is nobody going to take notice that this scratch on my face was because of Taehyung?"

"Mistakes are what makes us human," Seoktae ignored his son and replied to his wife. Feeling infuriated; Jun-Seo left and stormed to his room, mumbling cursive words under his breath.

"Why don't you set this one out. Let them both figure this out on their own, hmm?" He kissed the side of her head and stood up. "Dont think so much about it." He threw her a weak smile and left as well.

Don't think so much about it..

The longing that spread throughout the room
I couldn't place it in my heart
Because of that damn hope.❞
