The game was over Boundary High won against the Colts,

the score was 17 to 7. The Coach was totally pleased, he couldn't

believe how the team played, however Coach Robertson knew

Johnnie would bring the team towards a victorious win, still the

Coach had to know what happened and why the team did not

play the plays he gave them.

"Johnnie, I need you to tell me, what happened in practice Friday when I left you with the team? Did someone change the plays?"

"No Sir, those where the plays you gave me, but some of the players weren't going by the plays in the playbook. They were creating some of their own plays. Still, I am glad because the team knew it wasn't the same plays we practice all summer."

"That doesn't sound right, you all agreed that the plays were good plays. Johnnie, what's going on with you and your team?"

"Coach, the plays you gave me wasn't the plays we agreed on, I don't know where you got those plays from but it wasn't our plays, and the team just played the plays we practice last summer, David created his own plays, I guess he wanted to prove himself to you."

"David! Johnny, I left you in charge how could you let David take over? There is no excuse for this, you and David, show up at my office after you two get dress. This can not happen again,

I won't stand for it."

" But Coach, we won!"

"Not by my standards, you won by pure luck! My office now

Yes, sir, I'll be there."

"Good."

"Sir did you want me to tell David to come to your office too."

"Sure Johnnie, do that for me, thanks."

After the game, Johnnie told David the Coach was furious with

their performance and want to see them both right away.

"Johnnie, what did you say to the coach, you probably told him it was all me who changed the plays."

"No David, I told him it was a team's decision to change the plays."

David did not believe him and drew back to slap Johnnie and missed.

"You probably thought that I was going to let you do that," Johnnie said. "But that's only because you are a narrow-minded person. It's best that you just go to the coach's office NOW! Before you get hurt."

Both boys went to the coach's office and quietly sat down, as the coach rare back in his chair he just looked at the boys and then he spoke.

"We won, how, I don't know, but I believe that together you two are going to take us to the championship. I want you two to plan all our games. Now, David, I know you wanted to be captain, I feel you would be better at co-captain and let Johnnie stay captain this year and we can win all the games this season.

"But, Coach!

"No, David not another word, since you find it in yourself to change the plays, then find in yourself to take the responsibility for your actions. Is that clear with you two?

"Yes Sir," Johnnie replied.

David stormed out of the coach's office while Johnnie set there waiting for the coach to dismiss him,

"Johnnie, what are you waiting for, go! Dismiss."

"David," Tim, called while running to catch up with him.

"Yeah man, what's up?" David asked.

"Yeah man, have you seen Johnnie? I did not see him after the game do you know what happen to him?"

"Tim, don't ask me about that bum, because he betrayed me."

"I know what you mean, Johnnie has really gone soft."

Both boys have two different reasons to hate Johnnie, neither

one of them knows what the other one's reason, they are both glad to

have someone else to elaborate with about Johnnie. Now David

has to put a plan in motion to get all of Johnnie's friends to shun

him, starting with Tim, and because in Tim's eyes Johnnie has

gone soft, but its only because of the wishes of Johnnie's sister,

Tim has grown tired of Johnnie's passive attitude towards the

black kids.

Now to get on Tim's good side, David must make Tim believe he

is really a good friend so Tim would drop Johnnie as a friend. And

to do this he must abide by all Tim's wishes, even torment the

Black kids.

That evening David and Tim ambushed the Black kids while they

were boarding the school bus.

"Look," one Black child cries. "They are throwing eggs at us."

"Hurry up and get on the bus." Another child cried, and both boys ran off laughing.

"Man you are really cool, much cooler than Johnny."

"Stop!" David yelled. "Didn't I tell you not to mention his name to me?"

"You got it, he is history. So how did the game go why did you guys get lost? What happen?"

"Nothing your friend, don't know anything about being a captain that's all. I had to play all the plays by myself, and he took credit for it. I hate him, I want to.... never mind."

Tim a young man that likes to pull pranks on everybody, he does

not care who, just as long as he can get a good laugh. As a matter

of fact, that's how he met Johnnie they both had detention and end

up in the boy's bathroom, they both came up with the same idea in

making up a prank on the kids at school. They put blue ink in the

soap dispenser in the boy's bathroom at school and all the boys

who wash their hands that day had blue hands, and the ink was

hard to wash off, no one knew who pull the prank but the two who

did it.
