-chapter eight-

"(y/n), you didnt tell me you have a secret admirer!!"

weekend had ended, monday came, and just as the usual, im disappointed that time flew so fast. it felt like it was still yesterday when i finished my favourite show.... which was actually yesterday.

haechan drove us to school as usual again, yet the thing that wasn't usual at all was when i saw renjun standing infront of the gates as if he was waiting for someone.

"hey hyung." he greeted my brother as my brother stopped infront of the gates. (a/n: keep in mind haechan is '99 liner in this book)

i got out from the car, shutting the door behind me as i saw renjun standing infront of me now.

"youre not coming?" renjun asked as my brother nodded.

"got some things to deal with. i'll skip classes for now." he explained that made renjun nod too. haechan already told me that he's going to skip school today, but when i asked him why, he wont respond and ignore me. this time, i know he wont skip school because of video games since he asked my parents he will go somewhere and that he may skip classes.

renjun didnt ask that much question when he nodded before my brother can drive off to somewhere i-dont-know-where, leaving the two of us standing infront of the school buildings.

i faced renjun who still hasn't uttering anything, and so, i decided to ask him a question. "why are you just standing here?"

"im waiting for someone." he responded that made me nod, receiving enough answer. i dont like people giving a long answer at the moment. i wasnt in the mood.

i then started walking towards the gates of the school while it's open, yet i stopped in the midst of my tracks when i noticed renjun following me. hence, i turned my head to his direction to ask again, "why are you following me?"

"youre the someone i was waiting for." he replied as he gave a small smile. so small, i cant even recognize the smile if i wont pay much attention of his face.

he just smiled.. it's my first time to see him smile at me even though it was even barely noticeable.

i snapped my head back to the direction i was looking at when i thought i didnt know how to respond or react to what he said. he made his statement something more with a meaning, perhaps, that can make any girl's heart flutter thinking about it..... and i dont like it. it might deceive me.

as what i had in mind, i didnt reply as i continued walking to the main building of the school's campus. i also noticed him following me, and it didnt take long for him to walk beside me with his hands tucked inside his pockets and the strap of his bag loosely hanging on his shoulder.

"can you stop following me?" i asked him, throwing the attitude to him. i wasnt annoyed... i was feeling uncomfortable about what i am feeling right now.

"im walking you to your first class." he replied while looking at me, yet it caught me off guard when he snatched my bag away from my back as he slung it on his other shoulder.

"no thanks. i can carry it." i said, not even sounding thankful. i was about to grab my bag, yet my eyebrows creased when he faced me, not allowing me to get my bag.
