dare [h. renjun]

-chapter eleven-

(please pay attention to little things to be able to understand renjun when he's acting unsual or talking since i cant and shouldnt let the readers know what's in his mind+unless if i let yall know lol)

"renjun is walking you home"

"what?" i asked, eyebrows furrowed while looking at my brother intently. i then diverted my gaze to mark to ask, "mark.. what?"

"mark what, what?" he asked back. "you heard your brother'."

i stammered as i hesitated a bit. im still not talking to him, right? i dont know what to say once we're already alone if he's still mad at me.
i was about to refuse, but mark elbowed me at my side that made me get alarmed at what he's trying to say.

"yeah fine fine." i mumbled as i stepped backwards when mark pushed me gently to renjun.

"bye bye~ " mark waved, a cutesy one by bending  his fingers that made it a little wave instead. i rolled my eyes as they now turned their backs on us, heading to a parking lot near the school where haechan parked his car since we got late to school and the guard wont let us in after 8:50 am.

i didnt utter any word as renjun started walking.

i blew an air as i walked behind him, still not having a plan on talking to him first. it took almost ten minutes for him to finally let out a word that was held by pride earlier.

"let's have lunch tomorrow together."

i looked at his back as i snickered. "are you asking me out?"

"no. im just being friendly." he responded as i looked down bitterly. i was actually confused when i felt unusual when i heard him say he was just bring friendly.

i then diverted my gaze at the orange sky as i lifted my chin up, letting out a confident answer, "i cant. im going to be busy tomorrow."

it wasn't an excuse for me to avoid him. i was telling the truth since i have to continue the project and our class vice president gave me a task to do.

"please go with me tomorrow." he begged which isnt even sounding like one.

"im really sorry. maybe another time?" i asked him as he nodded.

[third person's pov out of nowhere]

renjun looked down on the ground as he walked with his hands tucked inside his side pockets. he was thinking about mark's bet to him. he don't want his friend to get disappointed since he promised he'll do the bet.
the moment of silence continued until he uttered,

"you do like walking behind me, huh?" he decided to start a conversation since he noticed you were not uttering any word.

"nah.. i do this everytime with my friends." she responded non-chalantly as renjun still felt her presence behind him.

"then how come you were walking beside mark shoulder to shoulder and clinging to him?" he asked that made a frown appear on your face.

"because i like it." you responded with full honesty.

"okay.. go to mark if that's what you like." and just as renjun said those words, you immediately walked away from him as you replied, "sure."

you were just a few steps from him, yet his hand grabbed yours as you got startled. he pulled you to him as your head hit his chest that made you wince. [haha just imagine this smol bean is taller than you okay 😂]

renjun did that upon thinking that will make you feel unusual towards him now and make your heart 'flatter'. all he has in mind is the bet.. renjun knows that mark can get what he wants. he knows mark can help him after he succeeded.
