dare [h. renjun]

-chapter fourteen-

"i don't like her having a secret admirer. i should be the only one." he uttered quietly, almost whispering as if he intended it to be, so that i am the only one who hears it.

"uhh yeah, sure." i said, averting my eyes at the lunchbox again. i was totally not into whatever he was doing just a second ago.

sowon remained unuttered as i assumed she didn't hear what renjun had said. upon pushing him away 'gently', i heard him sigh as he sat down on one of the chairs at the back. in my peripheral vision, he got his phone out of his pocket as i faced sowon.

"i have a mission for you." i said, seemingly determined and eager.

"oh no, what is it?" she aked, boredom in her eyes since i do these "missions" for her before, and those were not really something to excite about.

"find this guy who happens to be my secret admirer." i answered, eyebrows connected as my eyes were glued on the things on my desk.

"how about finding it out yourself?" she rolled her eyes while crossing her arms. i stared at her for a few seconds with a blank face, hoping she would change her mind and help me, yet it didn't work. she remained having the face.

"oh please~" i clung unto her arm like a kid who badly wants ice cream. "please help me because the curiousity is eating my brain."

"and why would i help you?" she asked as if she made her walls strong enough for me to not be able to break it, yet i know she'll help me. i just know.

"because you're really beautiful," i wasn't sure about that reason though. "and you're so good at finding things out. just like when you helped me on finding renju-" i halted when i realized what i was going to say. 'just like when you helped me on finding renjun's name'

she smiled. i wasn't sure if she smiled because of my compliments, 'you're so good' and 'beautiful', but i was really happy upon seeing her smile, knowing she will finally help me.

"sure." that's all she got to say that made me smile.

the bell rang that made renjun go to his first class as i waved at him. when the class started, jeno surprisingly sat down beside me with a huge grin.

"what's with that smile?" i asked.

"you received a bento again, huh?" he asked back, not answering my question.

i looked at the lunchbox in my open bag as i quickly zipped it. "yeah, so?" i asked as i hugged my bag. call me childish, i was actually being suspicious about jeno taking my food.

"would you mind giving that to me?" he poked my bag as i frowned.
you see what i meant?

"no." i responded firmly.

he then pouted. "aww man. sharing is caring." he badly wants it, huh?

"no." i repeated.

he then leaned at my ear, his lips opened as he uttered, "if you're not going to give me that, i'll tell renjun you liked him."

my eyes widened upon hearing what he had said. i quickly faced him to see a smirking face. "what the heck? how did you know?" i whispered since the teacher might hear us.

"ooohhh you really do liked him." he rubbed his chin as i placed my palm on my face. goodness! i shouldn't have said that!

"i saw this in your room when haechan hyung invited me to your house." he placed something on my desk with a thud. upon hearing it, i lifted my head up to see a purple notebook.

my eyes widened in complete shock, it even made me gasp as i instantly covered my mouth since miss Jang turned her head at my direction.

as soon as she gave us our assignment for today, i quickly grabbed the notebook infront of me as if jeno is going to take it back.
