i wasn't expecting it at all, but... why do i feel weird? i feel something unfamiliar while looking at them, and i'm totally not liking it at all.
~
"i had fun yesterday. thanks guys." i let out a wide smile infront of sungwon and sowon who are eating infront of me.
"yes, you really had fun, (y/n). you even slept half the movie yesterday." sowon said with sarcasm.
"oh come on. at least i had fun with the previous movies we watched." i shoved the spoon full of goodness in my mouth.
"by the way... why isn't renjun present today?" sowon asked.
"how would i know?" i asked back, still having my gaze at my tray while sungwon continued listening to us as he eats.
"because you're his girlfriend."
"oh please..." i rolled my eyes. "i don't even know if that thing's still going on."
"seriously?"
"yeah." i answered, munching the food. "i only treat him as a friend. he only treats me as a friend. that's that."
"are you really sure?" sowon gave me the 'look'. this woman really can't stop herself from mocking me, can she?
"yes. now, focus on eating or you'll starve." i signaled her towards her food because she wasn't eating a lot since we sat at this table.
after having a couple of spoons with the not-awkward-at-all silence surrounding us, sungwon who had been quiet finally uttered after clearing his throat. "my cousin's birthday is today. she told me to invite my friends. you guys in?"
"as long as there's food, i'm fine." i answered as sowon gave him a thumbs up while nodding her head.
"great! she also wants to meet you guys." sungwon smiled as i did back with serenity.
his smile is contagious. haha
-third person's pov-
"you skipped school first time today, huh?" a brunette-haired boy asked renjun with a smirk.
"yeah." he replied blandly as he continued typing down on his laptop.
his cousin, henry sat down on the desk blatantly while looking down at renjun sitting infront of him. "same! except this isn't my first time though."
renjun didn't utter a word, hence, he remained silent, trying to focus on his work. henry then leaned towards him to have a look at what his cousin's busy at the whole time he was talking.
"aw man. still school works?" he whined at the thought of not having to have fun with his favourite cousin because of his 'school works'. he's too dedicated--- is what henry thought.
"i'm not like you, ry." he replied, his eyes still glued on the screen.
"so are you trying to tell me i don't care about school?!" henry questioned with his eyebrows furrowed at the boy.
"yeah." he replied blandly, but honest.
it took a moment of silence before henry can utter another word again. this time, his face was serious enough for renjun to listen.
"renjun, you do know as mr. li wei's son, you need to help your family's company, right?" henry asked, his eyes gazing at renjun's as if he was trying to read his mind.
