The next day when An Lian woke up, Jian Chen was still asleep in his bed.

He didn't want to wake him up, so An Lian tried his best to be quiet as he climbed down from Jian Chen's bed.

Since he had been busy yesterday, An Lian had not had a chance to clean up and pack his own belongings. He started sorting out some of his things, but was interrupted as his stomach growled – He still hadn't eaten.

He found his card and quietly left the room, glancing at Jian Chen's sleeping form one last time before he left.

At the cafeteria, he ordered some simple food and sat down to eat.

Not many students were awake yet and many had left during the break to visit their families, so the cafeteria was unusually quiet.

An Lian took this opportunity to clear his mind and digest everything that had happened.

That Jian Chen... is a bit strange.

I wonder what's going through his mind. Yesterday he was a bit scary, why did he... do those things...

He's just confusing me with someone else... right?

Suddenly having flashbacks to all the time he had spent with Jian Chen, An Lian felt at loss for words.

Why does he treat me so well ah? I'm not his girlfriend... Why does he act so strange? He... doesn't have those kinds of feeling for me right...? Hahaha, An Lian, don't be silly... He's with Meng Ying.

Anyway... who would want me.

[Author + Yu Ming note – EVERYONE!!!]

Keeping in mind they were both boys, and An Lian's low self-esteem, the ambiguous idea that Jian Chen could possibly like him in that way was dismissed.

Finishing his food, he got up to throw the container in the bin.

"An Lian!"

An Lian turned his head up at the familiar voice.

Sigh

"Can I help you with something?" An Lian asked politely to Meng Ying who was standing with her arms crossed on her chest, a look of disgust planted on her face.

"Come with me, I want to discuss something."

An Lian hoped he could perhaps dissolve the bad impression this girl had on him, not that it really mattered anymore. But An Lian still felt he didn't want to make enemies in his life.

So he followed the girl who took him a long distance to the school's sporting district.

An Lian remembered the last time he was here – he had gotten locked up with Jian Chen.

It was a bittersweet memory.

Entering the empty building, the two walked further until they came to the indoor swimming pool. An Lian was confused as to why they ended up all the way out here.

Breaking the silence Meng Ying spoke up, "You know, when I was young I wanted to be a professional swimmer."

An Lian didn't say anything and Meng Ying continued, "But my parents told me it wouldn't suit me. I should follow in their footsteps and marry a rich business man."

Meng Ying: "They were right. In my life I was born to this family to live a certain way."

An Lian was more confused than ever, "Why are you telling me this?"
