Leah's POV

It's been a long time since I've actually cooked a proper meal. I remember when I younger and my mom forced me to learn to cook. She said one day I'd thank her and this may be that day. I laid some bacon in a skillet to crisp. I grabbed one of my larger pale green bowl to scramble some eggs in. I hummed as I began to whisk the egg yolks. I was in a good mood by far the best mood I'd been in for a very long time. I would be lying if I tried to deny the reason why, Jacob Black. I awakened and I was draped over him like a blanket. Our feet were tangled up in each other, his hand rested on the small of my back, and not to mention his bulge poking in the stomach all of these things were the reason the sun shined brighter in Leah Land this morning. I'd forgot what it felt like to have a man's hands on me and to just be in someone's arms. Jacob had really strong arms. I smirked to myself and skipped to the fridge I needed butter. The biscuits would be done soon and then I'd wake him up.

"Five more minutes," I muttered to myself before grabbing another pan and dropping the butter inside and watching it melt. I heard sluggish feet dragging themselves along my hardwood floors. I turned to grab my green bowl and watched as Jake propped himself on the stool and rubbed his eye. He was still missing his jeans. I honestly didn't mind but it would make me have to focus to look him in the face.

"Good morning," he said with sleep still evident in his voice.

"Morning, breakfast is almost done," I declared playfully and waved my spatula.

"I know that's why my stomach woke me up," he chuckled and ran his hand through his hair. "Your bed sleeps much better than mine. I haven't slept like that in years."

"Honestly I haven't either. Something about last night had me at ease." I shyly looked over to my alpha and his gave me a little grin. "It must be the house. It does have the power to soothe," I muttered and for some reason Jacob snickered and sighed.

"Yeah, this is a pretty amazing house. I was actually thinking about buying it until I heard someone had bought it from up under me," Jacob teased and I laughed but his face sobered. "I am serious Leah I was planning on buying this house. I was adding little extras and I had blueprints of other things I was going to add. The house is almost perfect all it needs is a deck and a porch."

"Really?" I imagined the additions to the house I could see how nice the front of the house could look. I saw my rocking chair out front. I envisioned myself enjoying the breeze and watching cars go by and I worked on my articles during the summer months.

"Yeah, I think its peaceful back here. Plus, it would be great for family parties. I could've broke out the grill and cooked some steaks and throw back some beers with the boys. Oh well … it was a nice dream while it lasted."

"You could still come over here and bring your grill. I like steak matter of fact it only seems fair since I've slaved over a hot stove for you," I teased as I grabbed a couple of plates from the cabinet.

"No, we're even remember I did identify what the weird noise was in your master bathroom. So if I cook for you then you'd owe me again," Jacob was quick to correct me. I glared at him but only for a minute. I pulled the biscuits from the oven and started preparing our plates. Owing Jacob Black may not be the worst thing in the world. I took our plates over to my kitchen table it would be the first time that I actually eat at it.

"What other plans did you have for this house?" I asked just as small talk.

"I wanted to pave the drive way. Most of the houses I do now have paved driveways I just think they look better. I also thought that if I were to ever have nieces and nephews it would be cool to get some chalk have them drawing on the black tar." I toyed with my eggs as I listened to him talk. All of the amendments he wanted to make to the house sounded amazing and I kind wished he'd had the time to do it. I didn't know that my perfect dream house was unfinished until he pointed it out. "What's wrong?" Jacob asked I looked up at him and he was staring at me with concern.

"Nothing, it's just all those things … they sound really great. I wouldn't mind seeing the blueprints and possibly letting you make those additions." Jake grabbed another biscuit from the basket between us.

"I don't know Clearwater. It sounds like you want me to finish my house and then allow you to live in it that doesn't seem very fair."

"I'd pay for it," I blurted out before I had time to think about it. I mean I did have quite a lot of money saved up but it was supposed to be for emergencies I didn't really consider a deck or a porch an emergency.

"Yeah … okay. Well maybe you could come over to my apartment tonight and I could show you the blueprints and you can make an educated decision on the additions." I nodded and took a deep breath and the table became silent.

"Breakfast was really good Leah, I didn't know you could cook this well," Jacob muttered before patting his stomach.

"Thanks Jake," I got up and cleared our plates.

"I ate so much that I could use another nap," he added and I chuckled. "I'm serious do you mind if I take a quick nap before heading to work?"

"Oh yeah sure, I've got to work on my article anyway so I'll just be in the living room." I turned to him and he approached me and wrapped his arms around me again. I was pressed up against his strong muscular chest. God the smell of Jacob was amazing and intoxicating.

"Thanks Leah," he whispered and a shrill of excitement went down my spine. He squeezed me tightly and then allowed his fingertips to lazily trail along my sides. I pulled away from him enough to look in his eyes. I wanted him and I wanted to look in his eyes and I hoped to see the desire in his eyes too. He smiled down at me with warm affectionate eyes.

"Back to bed," he murmured and kissed my forehead before heading back to my bedroom. I heard the bedroom door close and it was then that I realized that I was holding my breath. God only he could affect me this way. My mouth dry and evidence of my want for him was now between my legs. Even though I wanted to rush into my room and claim him as mine I didn't want to seem eager or desperate. I wanted to think with my head and not my vagina. Right now I'd just be grateful that his scent was being mingled on my sheets and evidence of him being there would be there for me to enjoy for a good long while.
