I'd been in Forks for two days and now that I'd finished with all the major moving in responsibilities and the movers were finished with doing what they had to do. It was time for the fun stuff. I'd decided to surprise my mother on with an impromptu visit to her house. She knew that I was planning on coming back to visit but she was unaware that I'd already returned and didn't know I was moving back. I gently knocked on the door to the Swan's residence and was greeted by Seth he looked as though he'd seen a ghost.

"Oh my God," he murmured and just stared at me.

"Are you going to let me in?" I asked and he nodded.

"Uh yeah sorry," he stammered as he opened the door wider. "I can't believe you're here! I thought that I would never see you again!" Seth wrapped me up in one of his award winning bear hugs. I was confused by his statement but I didn't want any answers now. I just wanted to look at my not so little brother. After he finally let me down I grabbed his face and stared at him.

"So where's mom?" I whispered. I pulled me along with him to the kitchen and I saw Charlie and mom sitting at the table. She looked up at me and practically jumped out of her skin.

"Leah!" She hugged me and I shared a little smile with Charlie.

"Oh my God sweetie welcome home! You should've told me you were coming home I would've gotten your room ready." While in the mist of our embrace I noticed someone coming downstairs. I noticed it was a short female, slender, with long curly bronze hair. I groaned inwardly I didn't want her here she was going to ruin my reunion with my family. She was talking to her granddad about something and he pointed my way and she gave me a way too big smile. She came over to me and my mom and watched and my mother examined me thoroughly.

"You let your hair grow out," My mother said and she toyed with my hair that now rested n the middle of my back.

"Yeah, I barely have time for any supernatural acts so there's no need to cut it," I muttered and then turned to the girl that I assume was waiting for me to acknowledge her presence. I was just having a hard time looking her in the face, plus I knew that if Ness was here then Jacob was bound to be somewhere close by and I wasn't ready to see him yet.

"Hi Ness, you're all grown up," I forced myself to be cordial and she offered me a little smirk.

"Hi Leah!" She placed herself in my arms briefly and I froze. I didn't like this. I hated that I hated this girl that I barely knew but I really wanted her off me. "Welcome home. I know everyone will be excited that you're here."

"Yeah, I was pretty homesick too. I hated being so far away for so long."

"Almost exactly seven years," Ness stated and arched her eyebrow at me. "I for one am glad you're here it will be good to get another woman's opinion on the issue." Seth sighed and rolled his eyes. Ness must've been repeating herself. Repetition was Seth's one vice he hated when people were redundant.

"I'm trying to decide if I should get married before I leave Forks," she explained and my heart dropped down in my stomach and made me feel as if I were going to vomit.

"Ma-married?" I looked at my mom and she nodded.

"Yes, Renesmee wants to get married now so that all of her loves ones will be present and accounted for," Mom explained and I nodded.

"It's not just about me! I would want my husband's family and friends to be present too! I think the best way to ensure that happens is to get married now. Plus, now Leah's back! It's like a sign that it's meant to happen now!" Ness squealed and I shuttered. "Well Leah what do you think?" I mulled the little girl's situation over in my mind. I knew that I most definitely didn't want to watch another wedding where I feel the groom should've been mine, but this might be exactly what I needed to move on. If I were to see Jacob commit himself to Ness, I would know without a doubt that he'd moved on and I was right to let him go.

"I think it makes sense, but aren't you supposed to be leaving Forks soon? Do you have time to plan a wedding in less than a month?" I asked and she smiled at me brightly and gave Seth an in your face sort of look.

"Yeah but I have Aunt Alice! She'll pull it all together and it will be fabulous!" Ness went into the living room and Seth followed behind her. After she left I return my focus to my mom. "So mom how's married life been treating you?"

"Good sweetie, we're have about three years of good!" Sue smiled back at her husband.

"So where's your bags don't you want to get settled in?"

"Actually, I am not just visiting I'm moving back here. I bought a house a couple a months ago the realtor said some renovations had to be done and I was just given the clearance to move in so here I am!"

"Leah, that is so great! I'm glad I'll have one child here with me." My mother hugged me again but I pulled away from her this time.

"Where's Seth going?"

"He's moving with the Cullens," mom said somberly and I looked back at the both Seth and Ness. They looked like they were in a heated debate and he grabbed her phone.

"He has always been pretty obsessed with them," I murmured. I was a little down I'd finally come home to be closer to family and it looked like my little booger was moving away.

"Yeah," mom agreed. "Well what about food? Have you had breakfast?" I shook my head and mom went to the fridge and pulled out some eggs and bacon.

"So where are you living sweetie? I can come by and help you unpack and decorate," Mom said with her back to me.

"Oh right off Mill Rd I'm like ten miles away from the Res," I muttered as I grabbed the carton of eggs. I decided to help instead of having my mom wait on me.

"Isn't that the property Jacob renovated?" Charlie asked nonchalantly from behind his paper. "The poor boy's been breaking his back over there and still isn't completely finished."

"You're right Charlie, that house is beautiful Leah. I know exactly where you live and I've already been in your house," mom chuckled and I tried to do the same. Jacob made my dream house or fixed it anyway. It was just another thing that would make it harder for me to see him.

"That's cool mom," I said for lack of anything better to say. It was crazy just talking about Jacob put me on edge and I wanted the conversation to just end. "Yeah maybe you can help me find some more living room furniture. I brought some of my old stuff but I really want a new recliner. The house also has an extra room that I was going to turn into an office space." Mom told me of some antique shops and furniture store near town to check out and then suggested that we go over to my place after breakfast.

We pulled up to my house and a silver truck was in my drive way. "What the hell?" I got out of my car getting ready to blast whoever was on my property without my permission and then I saw him. He was wearing a snug fitting black t-shirt, dark denim, and he was coming straight towards me. Everything south of my belly button seemed very aware of his presence. He didn't seem as startled to see me as I was to see him.

"Hey Leah, I was just coming to return my copy of the key. I was using one when I was working on the house," he muttered as he placed the key in my hand. "It's good to see you Leah … you look good." He looked at me with a weird mixture of emotion that I couldn't quite pinpoint.

"Thanks," I muttered softly. "Oh and thanks for the work you've done on the house. It's really beautiful." Jacob nodded and looked back at the house.

"You'd have the think Mitchell for that he's the one the hired my company. I have to go, I have another site I'm supposed to be at by noon. See you ladies later." He waved as he pulled out of my driveway and down the road. It was crazy but a part of me felt emptiness of our breakup all over again. I quickly attempted to shake of those feelings before looking at my mom again.

"Well, you ready to see my humble abode?' She gave me a knowing smirk but said nothing. She nodded and we went in to my new home.
