Chapter 3

Shawn's POV

"Uhm okey.." I said just confused by the situation.
"I'm Arya, nice to meet you." Arya said and stretched out her hand for me to shake. I shook it lightly.
"Nice to meet you too."

"Okey so my plan for you two is that you write a song together, hang out, make the media talk, maybe some suspicious tweets, and voila, you both gained fans and fame!" Andrew stated.

Arya's POV

"Oh but I'm not even signed yet.."

"But now you are!" Andrew said and pulled out a contract. I read through it and signed.

I just signed a record deal. Oh My God!!!

"So now, start the work!" Andrew said and left Shawn and me alone in his office.

"Well.. uhm... I don't know anything about this, it's literally the second time I'm here so.. do you mind starting this thingy?" I asked as politely as I managed. It sure wasn't easy trying to be calm when you casually had to work with pop idol Shawn Mendes. (!!!!)

"Yeah, Yeah. So I actually have to go, but can't we just exchange numbers and then I'll text you?" He said looking at me with a weird expression on his face, like he was trying to see through me.
"Sorry, this is just weird, I don't want the media to talk, especially not about my love life, because I kinda have a secret girlfriend.. and Andrew knows, he's just being a dick. But let me have your number and we'll talk later k?" He said and reached for my phone.

I held it out and he typed away.

"Okey see you around Ayla!" He said and walked away.

"It's Arya.." I sighed after he left the room, not long after I walked out. Maybe this is going the wrong way? Maybe I've dreamt too big, and I'm just gonna be disappointed, well let's see.

I found my way back home and was making dinner when Sierra bursted through the door.
"Why in such a rush?" I asked, not looking up from the stove.

"I got a date!"

"You what?!"

"I need to go, love you A!"

And then she disappeared out the door.
Well more food for me then. I sat down and ate it and watched some YouTube before reality hit me, and I remembered that I need to post a video tomorrow. I sat up my camera, pushed record and did my thing. I finished after about 20 minutes, I just made a Q&A so it went pretty fast. Suddenly a text message popped up on my phone.

Shawn:
Hey you free tonight?

Why would he ask that? It's kinda getting late... and about that, where the hell is my sister. I called her and less than a minute after she came through the door.
"Hey I started to wonder where you we-"
But she just walked straight to her room and shut the door.
"Oh okay."

I decided to answer Shawn.

Arya:
Yeah why?

Shawn:
You up for some shots?

Arya:
Sure, where u @?

Shawn:
The lights.

It was a bar just down the road. And why not meet him? Maybe we could get to know each other.

"Sierra I'm going out!"

"Sure!"

So I got ready and freshed up a bit before leaving. I walked to the bar and opened the door. It was crowded and dark with only some neon lights. I looked around and walked further into the bar.

"Ayla!" A familiar voice called.
"Hey! You know my name actually is Arya." I shouted over the loud music.
"Oh shit sorry! Arya is nice."
"Thanks, you up for some drinks?" I asked pointing at the bar.
"Hell yeah!" Shawn said and we walked over to the counter.

After four rounds of shots we agreed to slow down on the drinks and talk a little.

"So what got you into music?" Shawn asked.
But something behind him caught my eye. One of my ex's, someone I did NOT want to meet right now.

"Hello?" Shawn asked confused.
"Oh sorry I just spotted my ex." I said and took a long sip of my drink.
"We should get out of here, you coming?" Shawn asked, standing up and reaching for my hand. "Sure." I said and joined him.
