My eyelids felt weak as they fluttered and slowly opened over my eyes, my vision starting off blurry before adjusting to the scenery before me. The sunlight had seeped through the window behind me and caused the room before me to light up naturally, and I came to a quick guess that it was either in the morning or the afternoon. The only problem was, this wasn't my bed that I fell asleep in... this wasn't my room.

Before I could even panic about the unfamiliar scenery before me, I came into sudden realization that my head was aching painfully as if fists were punching it repeatedly from all around. It throbbed with a pulsing pain all around, which caused me to let out a low moan and firmly hold the sides of my head in response.

After a few moments of being soaked in my raging headache and the curiosity towards my surroundings, I realized that I was completely naked under the blanket.

Oh no I thought to myself worriedly as guesses came to my mind as to what must've happened last night. Looking down at the floor next to the bed, I saw the dress I wore last night and my black wedges carelessly dropped around it. I quickly retrieved the dress and slipped it over me, just in time before a tall light-skinned boy walked in sporting an ice pack in one hand. He sat near me on the side of the bed and carefully held it against my forehead.

"I see you've woken up" He said sotly, a light grin appearing on his face. "I figured you'd have a bad hangover so I brought you the icepack for your head."

My heart began to beat hard against my chest when the sudden fear began to run through me. I had no idea know where I was, but I remember this guy from last night... we were drunk and dancing, then we made out at the end of the countdown and that's all I remember.

I just stared at him, not knowing what to say. This caused him to grow uncomfortable for a few silent moments before he said, "So, uhhh, do you remember anything from last night?"

I opened my mouth to speak, but that's when the nasuea hit me. I immediatly jumped up from his bed and ran across to the hall where his bathroom stood parallel from his room. Pulling my hair back, I knelt down to my knees and puked. When I was finished with all that, I slowly walked into his room feeling as if I were about to die.

"Damn, I've witnessed hangovers, but not like et" The guy said. "I'm damn lucky I don't get 'em" I sat down on the edge of the bed, keeping a certain distance away from him.

"Sorry about that" I mumbled.

"It's ok... so, um, back to my question"

"Yea, I remember" I answered. "I only remember everything up until the kiss after the countdown, though."

"Do you not remember what happened after that?" He asked, raising an eyebrow in surprise.

"No..." I said slowly."What the hell happened? Why am I here?"

"We were drunk 'nd shit so I asked you if you wanted to come here to my place, then I called a cab and we came back here and well yea we fucked."

"You've got to be kidding me" I said, placing my elbows on my knees and hunching over to put my face in my hands.

"I'm surprised you don't remember that part" He said.

"I don't want to" I shot at him rather hostilly. "I don't go around sleeping with guys I don't know."

"Ok ok, that's cool" He said, throwing his hands up as if surrendering to something. "Anyway, I'm August."

"And I wanna go home" I told him. I didn't mean to be rude but I still felt afraid and hostile.

"Damn girl ok, can you at least tell me your name first?"

I let out a drawn-out  exhale before impatiently introducing myself. "I'm Danielle."
