So this is a short chapter from Trevor's point of view at the visitation of the funeral, so just for this chapter, the story takes place a week back. After this, I'll go back to Danielle's current-day POV. Anyway please leave comments on what you think :)
Trevor's POV
Carmen looked beautiful in her casket - she was always beautiful and even the beating couldn't change that. Nothing could.
Looking down at the girl who I'd loved since the day we met so long ago, I cracked a sweet grin and finished gathering the last words that I was gonna say to her.
"Hey beautiful" I said softly, wishing I could just touch her one last time. "So this you boy Trevor talkin'... uh, I just wanted to say that, you really changed my life and all that. Ever since we met I got this crush on you and the day we started goin' out was the best day of my life... I just can't believe you had to be taken away from me so soon" My grin forged into a frown and I had to take a brief pause before I could continue. "Ima get back at Hank for dis, ight? I promise you. Anyway, uh, you got a nigga feelin' somethin' that I ain't ever felt before. Uhhh I don't now how I gonna move on from you but uh... you're my baby, and I love you do death - oh wait shit, I shouldn't have said that.... um, I love you like crazy, yea that's better. I'm gonna miss you a lot. Rest in peace, gorgeous."
And with that I couldn't help bet let a couple tears escape my eyes and cascade down my face. When she died, I had never, ever cried so hard or so long. I was the type of nigga to keep they feelings to theyself and to never shed one single tear. That's how when I cried so hard as I held her body, I knew that it was going to be hard to move on - from both her death and the forced end to the shortest yet most special relationship I ever had.
