August's POV

"Aye Javo, I'm on my way to the trap house" I said to the king pin dealer of the group over the phone. "I got shit to tell you."

"Ight nigga, I'll meet you there."

I hung up after that and let out a long exhale as I put my phone away. I couldn't help but feel a pit of guilt and shame for the mission I been workin' on. This is a bad thing, but I guess you gotta expect and get used to this type of shit when you join the game.

I recently began drug dealing and workin' for Javo. My brother Melvin has worked for him for a couple a long time and it seems like I had no choice but to tag along with him. I turned 18 just last year and have no idea where my life's going yet, so i'm making money this way to stay from being homeless 'nd shit - I'm about an dime away from being evicted from my apartment. It ain't right, but it's what I gotta do.

After minutes of driving, I slowed down and parked near the trap house where all the business and meetings were planned and held. When I went inside, Sean and Tyson were lounging around on the couches watching TV and drinking from coca cola cans. My presence caught their attention and they turned their heads towards me and shot a nod at me.

"Sup Aug" Sean greeted, dapping me up.

"Good to see ya" Tyson added. I did one nod at him the way he and Sean did when I walked in before dapping him up as well.

Ever since I joined the business, these two guys have become close friends to me.

"Where's Javo and my brother?" I asked, sitting on a leather chair that was adjacent to the sofa.

"Melvin's out gettin' money that somebody owes to Javo" Sean answered. "Javo should be here any minu-"

Just before he could finish his sentence Javo came through the front door, closing it behind him and swinging his ring of keys around his finger a couple times before stuffing them in his pocket.

"Aye boys" He said. We greeted him back and he joined in and sat with us.

"So what you gotta tell me August?" Javo asked after settling in and kicking his feet up on the coffee table.

"It's about the mission you put me on" I told him.

"Oh, how's that goin'?"

"Well" I began, scratching the back of my head while I mentally gathered my words together. "Last night I found Danielle at that New Years party. I went just to go and ain't expected her to be there. But she was."

"Aaaand? What happened?" Javo asked impatiently.

"Good progress" I told him, which would make him proud but not myself at all. "She was really drunk so I pretended to be too then I talked to her and danced with her and kissed her 'nd shit. Then I drove her to my place and we fucked - by the way, she's really good at the way she -"

"Business, August! We talkin' bout business!" Javo scolded. Sean and Tyson were cracking up, but his face grew annnoyed.

"My bad" I said, trying not to laugh myself. "Anyway, the next morning I was being really sweet to her and even called her sexy even though she looked like a wreck... then I drove her home and asked her if she wanted to hang out on saturday."

"That's what I liked to hear" Javo said in delight as he pleasingly smiled and nodded his head.

"Why do you need me to do this again?" I asked, raising an eyebrow questioningly.

"Because I wanna wear out and reduce out Hank and his drug dealing group" Javo explained. He and Hank are in this big rivalry because they get in each other's way with the business, plus he and Hank have bad history long before they even got into all the dealing and shit. "You're a new member, so they don't know about you or that you're wit us yet, so when you kill Danielle, it'll reduce their crew and distract them and they won't even know it was our fault. They won't attack us and it'll give us time to plan shit on them and dominate our business over theres."

I slowly shook my head. "Man, I don't got a good feeling about this. I don't wanna play with a girl's feelings."

"Trust me, I know what I'm doin" Javo said. "This will help you gain trust with us. Plus, who cares about her feelings? One, she's an enemy, and two, she gon' be dead. She won't be havin feelings when she down six feet in the ground. All you gotta do is make her fall in love with you then kill her secretly enough for nobody to know it was you who did it. Nobody's gonna suspect her boyfriend to be the murderer."

"Whatever man, I don't like this but I'll do what I gotta do" I reluctantly accepted. This plan was really stupid to me, but I'll do whatever it takes to get by.

Danielle's POV

Friday.

Ebony, Trevor, Chris, Tyler, Kyra, Carmen and I all hung around the front of my house. Tyler, Kyra, Chris, Ebony and I sat spread out on the steps that led up to my foundation while Trevor and Carmen sat on the hood of Carmen's car, Trevor's arm hanging around her shoulder keeping her close to him.

"That party the other night was riled UP" Ebony half-yelled, clapping her hands once to emphasize her statement.

"God damn you so fuckin' loud" Chris said, snarling at her and rubbing a hand up and down his ear. "You sound like a maafuckin' TNT bomb"

"Shut up stupid" Ebony hissed after whipping her head around to shoot him a dirty look.

"Both of y'all are ratchet as fuck" Tyler said in the same laid-back tone he always used, shaking his head under his snapback in disappointment. Ebony just rolled her eyes and Chris had no reaction.

"Dani was fuckin' wasted at that party" Trevor brought up, chuckling to himself.

"I saw you dancin' wit that one guy" Ebony informed with a smirk.

"He was really cute" Kyra added.

"He asked her out this saturday" Carmen also added, immediately grabing Ebony and Kyra's attention, which made me think here we go.

"Oooooooh Dani gonna get a new boyfriend soon" Kyra gushed, causing my eyes to widen and for my eyes to bulge.

"What!?" I asked in immediate shock. "Girl, we only just met. Plus it's night like we're going on a date, we're just hanging out."

"mmmmhm" Kyra said in a "yea right" kind of way.

"What's his name?" Ebony asked.

"August" I reluctantly answered, really wanting the subject to change.

"Ain't heard of him" Trevor said. "He must be from another hood or sum."

"I honestly couldn't care less about all of ths" Chris blurt out, Tyler agreeing by adding "same."

"Be quiet, if y'all don't care then don't listen" Ebony snapped. Her tone then lightened up sweetly and she asked, "So have y'all fucked yet?"

I groaned and shoved my face in my hands. I don't know how many times I'm gonna have to tell 'em I just met the guy.
