Kevin POV
I wince as I touch my cheek. Ever since my dad had seen Joaquin and I kiss, he has been more violent towards me and has been threatening me not to tell anyone. I sigh and change into my twenty one pilots zip-up jacket, a plain black t-shirt and some baggy, black jeans. I walk downstairs and get a glass of water. I sit by the marble kitchen counter top, on a silver stool and fold my arms, placing my head into them. I look up and see my reflection in the glass. I stare at myself and see my ruffled chocolate hair, slightly spotted skin, my messyish eyebrows, my snake green eyes, my crocked nose and my lips which I smile at because of what happened with Joaquin two nights ago, a thing I'll never forget.

I get snapped out of my thoughts by heavy footsteps hitting the creaking stairs. I sit up and see my dad standing there, emotionless. He just walks to the coffee machine and says nothing. It was completely silent.
Well, until there was a loud knock at the door. My dad walks to it and slamms it shut as soon as he opens it -my friends.
I get up from my chair and open it and see Toni, Cheryl and Joaquin smiling at me. Well, smiling until they see my red and slightly bruised cheek.
"I need to go get my bag," I say, shyly. I quickly run to my room and grab my shoulder-strap bag. I run downstairs quicker than I ran up. I grab my keys which hang by the door and run out. As soon as I'm outside, I slam the door and grab Joaquin's hand, pulling him to his car. He just chuckles and grabs Toni's hand who grabs Cheryl's hand. As soon as we're in the car though, the atmosphere changes to worry.

"Kev, what happened to your cheek?" Joaquin asks in concern, "is it because..." He looks to the girls and sighs, "you know..." He ends his talking by biting his bottom lip and looks down at his hands. The girls had one eyebrow risen each but still worry in their eyes.
"Quin, it isn't you're fault, okay? It's his," I say, wanting to kiss him, to show him it's not his fault. He just nods softly and turns to the wheel. He puts his seatbelt on and drives all the way to school. We sit in uncomfortable silence.

Once we get to school, we are greeted by glares and whispers walking down the hall, it's nothing new but it feels different. Toni and I shake it off as we're the two that are out in school. My locker is closest to the enterence so we get there first and what I see makes me want to both scream and be sick.
"Go to hell serpent fucker"  is written on my locker accompanied by a bled out, dead snake pinned onto it, only leading me to assume the writing tool is snake blood rather than red paint. Behind the words was backdrop of Joaquin and I kissing, his serpent tattoo visible on his wrist.
"Well, well Keller," says a voice behind me, Moose "I knew you were desperate but not desperate enough to fuck a serpent." He turns to Joaquin and shoves into and pins him to the lockers right next to the blood message.
"Now, ladies and gentlemen," he addresses the surrounding crowd "you may have thought this blood is snake blood and you're correct." People made disgusted sounds while others smirk and even clap.
"But," he starts again "it's not from the dead snake on the locker, no, it's from the alive one I've got here." He spat as Reggie came from the crown and lifts Joaquin's right arm and sleeve. He shows a horizontal cut going from top to bottom of his serpent tattoo.

I stumble back into Toni, lightheaded and sick. Once she helps me regain balance, she walks up to them and tore Moose and Reggie off Joaquin and catches him when he falls forward. Before Toni could even move the boys were back up and have taken Joaquin from her grip and pinned him to the floor.
"At least you kept your promise not to tell your fuck buddy about our little encounter yesterday and for that, I'll try not to hurt you too much." The flick of a pocket knife was heard and Moose pulls it out of his pocket. Reggie holds Joaquin's right arm to the floor
"Cheryl, hold Kevin back please!" Joaquin yells pleadingly and before I know it, Cheryl has a tight grip on me that I was too weak to escape from.

Joaquin POV {warning: the first part is kinda graphic}:
I feel the cold blade touch my arm and I wince. Moose starts to slowly slice down my arm, I bite my lip trying not to scream. He continues to do it and I can't help it anymore and I scream in pain, I hear Cheryl trying to stop Kevin escaping her grip then Kevin crying. Moose smirks on top of me as he cuts more, earning more tears, noises of pain and screams from me. Finally, I feel the knife leave my arm and Moose and Reggie get off me. I'm too weak to stand so I sit up, with the help on Toni.
I look at the pool of blood next to me and then bring my arm into my vision and am nearly sick at the sight. Moose had cut off my serpent tattoo.
I stare at it in disbelief and it's only when Kevin runs up to me that I snap out of it. He had taken off his t-shirt, now only wearing his jacket to cover his bear chest. He wraps the t shirt over the injury.
"Jughead just called FP, he should be here soon," Kevin tells me, trying to seem positive.

The sound of yelling fills the hall, followed by a sharp slap and,
"I HATE YOU MOOSE MASON!"
A figure pushes its way through the crowd and it's revealed to be Midge. She runs to us and kneels down next to me and Kevin. She grabs me arm covered by the t-shirt and squeezes it softly, causing me to wince.
"I'm sorry Joaquin, but you have to apply pressure," she says with a soft smile. I return the soft smile and give her a thank you.
We sit like this until FP gets here. A woman with blonde hair and stern face follows behind him. Betty, Veronica and Archie follow behind her, only now arriving. Veronica is the first to push her way though the crowd, as soon as she sees me she gasps. Betty, Archie, the woman and FP follow close behind. Betty had same reaction as Veronica, Archie looks ready to kill someone, FP knees down next to me and asks Midge, Toni, Cheryl, Kevin and I questions. The woman listens to the answers given then marches to Principal Weatherbees office, her eyes filled with anger.
"Go Alice Cooper," Midge whispers.
"Um, Midge," I start, getting her attention "can I get your number, friend wise?" I say with a smile, handing her my phone. She smiles back and creates her contact. Everyone kneeled with me helps me up and we then see Alice strutting down the hall, Weatherbee at her heels.

"Moose Mason, come with me," he say in his deep, creepy voice "you too Reggie Mantel." The three walk into the office and Alice demand FP take me to the hospital, Kevin, Cheryl, Toni and Midge tagging along. As we're walking out if the school, we see Fangs worrying that he's going to be late and Sweetpea trying to calm him down.
"Hey boys," said FP, startling them. They were about to say something to him when they see me and ask multiple questions. FP said to go and find Jughead and ask him, which they nod too and run into the building.

*time skip*

The Sheriff's department is doing absolutely nothing about what happened which Alice is outraged about, she keeps taking about sueing them and ripping the Sheriff's head off while waiting in the hospital room as the doctors bandage up my arm. They say they may have to keep me in overnight just to see how I do tomorrow, they also say they are going to chose a nurse thar knows how to deal with what happened. They're doing better than most people.

Apparently Moose only get suspended for a week and Reggie got nothing. It's sick and disgusting. Everyone had stayed with me and Sweetpea, Fangs, Betty, Jughead, Archie and Veronica had come to the hospital a few hours after.
I get introduced to my nurse. He has a septum piercing which I'm jelous of, a few small tattoos, light grey eyes and silver hair. He smiles to me and my friends, allowing everyone into my private room.
In the room, Toni helps me take my jacket off and in the bathroom, I swapped my jeans for sweatpants. I smile softly and climb into the bed. Kevin sits next to me on the bed and leans down to kiss my lips softly. I kiss him back, just as soft and we soon break off, everyone except Alice and FP clapping.

FP persuaded my nurse to let Kevin, Toni and Cheryl stay the night which me which he allows. I love having my friends around my right now although, I hate it when they all go to sleep as it makes the room silence and all I can see every time I close my eyes all I can see is...
