Renesmee POV

The hours grew longer. Jacob and Seth kept a watchful eye on William. Jacob never left his side. Apparently William was physically growing rapidly. He was in so much pain I couldn't bare it. Jacob wouldn't let me in the room. William would ask me to not come in also. My heart was breaking all over. Carlisle was giving him morphine to help, but it was not doing anything. Ella was in hysterics she couldn't stop crying. I finally decided to go and hunt and take Ella with me, just some mommy and daughter time.

We made our way to the woods and lay down in the cold grass. Ella began shivering from the ground. Alice came out smiling with a blanket. "Thought you might want this!" She smiled. Of course she had seen this. I laid the blanket out on the ground and curled Ella up next to me.

"Mommy, what's really happening to William?" She asked sweetly.

"William is growing too fast, and his body is not handling it right." I explained.

"Is he going to die mommy?" Ella cried. I held her in my arms and brushed my fingers over her hair.

"No honey, your daddy and I will never let anything happen to either of you." I kissed her head.

"But mommy, I had a premonition, I saw William, he was not William though, he was

someone else, someone different."

"What do you mean dear, tell me exactly what you saw." What had she seen?

"Well, I saw a man who looked kind of like William, but he was much bigger, and had long hair, he was talking to me and had a deep voice."

"What did he say to you honey?"

"He said that I should not be afraid, that things happen for a reason." I didn't know how to respond to that. Maybe it was William all grown up. But why was Ella not growing too? She was a lot older today. She grew a lot in the past week, she now looked about 10. Carlisle said that with both of Jacob and I's genes mixed, they were going to grow rapidly and then slow down. Ella was almost as tall as me now, I had a feeling she would grow a little taller then me then stop. She was a beauty though. And Seth noticed it too. And Jacob noticed Seth noticing, and he did not like that.

I lay there holding Ella and playing with her hair when my mom came out with a basket. "Thought Ella might be hungry."

"YOU BET I AM!" Ella smiled and reached for the basket. My mom came and sat down next to me. She put her arm around my shoulder, we both watched Ella eat her food.

Three generations of women here, my mom, her daughter, and my daughter. I knew someone else saw it too. My dad was leaning against a tree and smiling at the sight.

"It really is a beautiful sight. All my women!" My dad laughed and kissed my mom. "Ness Jacob wants you, he says it's almost time. We will stay here with Ella." My dad's tone was a little morbid. I didn't like the sound of it. I got up slowly and walked back to the house at human pace. I needed to think. Why had my dad's voice been dim? Was William okay?

What did he mean by over? Was William dying? I needed to just get in there and see for myself.

When I walked in the house everyone was sitting in the living room, except Jacob and Seth. Everyone stared at me with grim faces. I didn't want to ask. I just ran up to the room as fast as I could. Seth was standing in the hall. I walked up to him and looked him in the eye. I didn't have to ask him, he knew I wanted answers. Why hadn't I been able to see my son all week?

"Ness, before you go in there, you need to know something first. William is not the same." He barely could spit that out.

"What do you mean, not the same? What is wrong with my SON!" I barked. I wasn't mad at him, just completely terrified. I hadn't seen my son in a week.
