Chapter 21 Unexpected

Renesmee POV

Jacob has been gone for 4 days, and still nothing. I feel completely helpless, even with all my strength and my family we can't do anything, but wait. I have never seen a house full of vampires so antsy. Charlie is safe up in Northern Washington with my parents, Carlisle and Emmett. They are simply just hanging out until they receive word from Jacob. From what I have been told, Charlie is not having fun living with Vampires. I am sure though, that he is glad to have my mom back with him.

The days continued to go too slow, Alice and Rosalie kept me busy with me watching them get the baby's room together. Things were coming all day long that they had ordered online. Crib, blankets, clothes. You name it, we had it. It was hard to watch though, seeing my baby's room made me sick for Jacob, I yearned for him to be here with me, and watch our baby's room come together.

I hadn't been drinking as much blood as normal. My body seemed now to be craving more human food. The others would just hunt without me. I was perfectly content staying at home. I was glad to be back in Forks, I would not have been able to get through this time without Jacob, with out my family there.

"Nessie?" I turned to find Rosalie, Alice, and Jasper standing behind me. "We are all going hunting, do you want to come?"

"No thanks, I am not feeling up to drinking. But thanks anyways." They knew I was depressed, the longer Jacob was gone, the more my mind became preoccupied with him. After they had all left I wondered around the house trying to find something to keep myself occupied with. I wondered up to mine and Jacob's bedroom. There was a album book sitting on the bed. I picked it up. "Renesmee and Jacob Black's wedding." I had never seen this before. I opened it up and found an entire scrapbook of the wedding. There were pictures of me getting ready, some of Jacob walking around floor. The ceremony, and as much of the reception that was possible. There were also letters inside from every family member and friend telling Jacob and I how happy they were for us.

I felt even more depressed. It felt good to see a picture of Jacob. Although, it pulled at the tear in my heart. I couldn't stay in the house any longer. I had been cooped up too long. I figured a short walk around the house outside wouldn't hurt anyone. I put my shoes on and walked outside. The fresh air felt nice. I breathed it in deeply. I felt a nudge come from inside my stomach. It seemed the baby liked the fresh air too. I walked down the drive way, looking up at the moon the whole time. It made me think of Jake, I knew that even though we were far apart. Somewhere, he was under the same moon. That made the distance seem a bit closer. I remembered him telling me, that if I ever needed him, I could close my eyes and think of him, and he would be there with me. Since we were connected by imprinting and love, there was a special bond between us. We could feel each other's emotions. I closed my eyes, and filled my mind with nothing but thoughts of love for him.

A different scent caught me off guard. Human. I opened my eyes abruptly and searched the area around me. I started to turn to walk back to the house when a voice startled me. "Hello Renesmee." I turned to see a large man in the shadows. I felt my nightmare coming back.

"Who are you?" I asked fearfully. The man kept in the shadows but walked closer to me.

"I am Devin Montgomery, I have come to take you with me."

"I don't know who you are sir, and I don't know how you know me, But I am not going with you."

"Oh, but I know everything about you Renesmee Cullen." His voice was deep, filled with desire.

"What do you mean?" How could he possibly know anything about me, I didn't even know who he was. I had never seen him before.

"You and your werewolf husband have been causing us a great deal of trouble." I froze. He knew about Jacob, that could only mean that he was one of them. He was a hunter.
