I stood up grabbing the drain as I did so. I watched as the water drained down. Swirling in a tornado-like way. I shook my head and walked out the bathroom, flicking off the light switch while I walked out.
Hesitantly, I went down the stairs to see Dante with Kumo. I didn't hear my name be called once by Dante since he paid too much attention to that damned cat. Sully hissed slightly in annoyance before making both of us march to the bedroom. The slammed open the balcony doors and locked them from the outside.
From there, we took a deep breath and did something we haven't done in years. Sing.
"Found you, when your heart was broke..." I sang, referring to when we first met Dante. He was really small back then, and he confessed to his former crush and got rejected badly.
"I filled your cup until it overflowed... Took it so far, to keep you close~" Dante was given endless affection from me, no matter where we were. Sometimes hidden, sometimes in plain sight.
"I was afraid to leave you on your own..." Dante was bullied when he was still enrolled in school, and since I was older than him, I had to rely on Jeff to keep him safe.
"I said, 'I'd catch you if you fall... And if they laugh then fuck em' all.'"
"Then I got you off your knees, but you right back on your feet... Just so you can take advantage of me!"
"Tell me how's it feel, sitting up there? Feeling so high, but too far away to hold me!"

We sang the last line with jealousy and anger stuck in our voices. It's useless to get angry at a kitten...
"Hey, Sully." I asked out loud, looking up at the now darkened sky. "What is it?"
I let out a small smile. "You already know." Was all I replied with. Sully nodded our head. "Sadly, yes I do."
"Look, we already have Dante. Don't give up now." He said. I chuckled and let out a choked sob. "Wow, never knew you were a motivational speaker."
