Okay just to start, this story is my own adaptation of "versus the arctic". It is not super similar to the real episode so I hope you enjoy!

"Come on Ryan, it's time to say bye to mom" Mark said.
"Okay, coming." Ryan answered. The boys walked downstairs to see their happy mom gathering the rest of her stuff to leave for her one week trip to a food truck festival.
"Okay I have to leave now, but remember."
"Curfew homework kisses. Not in that order" the boys finished for her.
Grace smiled. And gave them both a quick hug, Ryan stopped her and gave her a long sad hug.
"Ry I'm only gone for a few days." She laughed.
"I know, I'll just miss you, that's all." He said sadly. All Ryan had in his mind was that this could be the last time he ever hugged his mother.

The boys headed over to the robot after Grace left. Harris and Spyder were already there. Everyone was tense, they didn't know if they were going to come back from this mission alive.
"Okay guys, I know we're all nervous, but we can do this" Ryan encouraged.
Everyone nodded and went to their stations. Ryan harnessed up and took off.... they were headed to the Arctic, to face evil in its toughest form, Traeger.

Once they were only a few miles out from their destination, Ryan landed the mech and turned around to face his team.
"Okay. I know we're all scared of facing Traeger but there is one thing on my mind that is really distracting me." He said.
"What is it?" Harris asked.
"Well as you all know, I am connected to this robot, this robot is a part of me. But you guys, you're my family, and I need to know that you'll all be safe. If...if something bad happens..." he was cut off by Mark.
"Ry come on."
"Just hear me out. Please."
"Fine."
"If something bad happens, we start to lose, or Traeger gets a lot of critical hits in and we get put in a dangerous situation, promise me that you guys will get in the elevator and evacuate." Ryan asks.
"Well of course we're not gonna stay in the robot if we'll get killed!" Spyder says, thinking he's pointing out the obvious. "We all get in the elevator and leave."
"No. What I mean is, you guys leave. I have to stay with the robot, no matter what." Ryan says.
"Ryan! I'm not gonna just leave you here alone with Traeger!" Mark shouts.
"Mark, please. I can't leave this robot and you know that. It's a part of me and so are you. I can't let anything happen to either of these things." Ryan pleads. "Please".
The three guys look at each other. They don't want to leave Ryan. Just then Mark sighs. He knows his brother won't be able to concentrate if he doesn't do this.
"Fine. I promise." Mark says reluctantly.
"I promise too" Harris says.
"I promise" Spyder says.
"Thank you guys. Now let's go kick Traeger's butt!" Ryan says happily. He has less stress now knowing that nothing will happen to his team. They wouldn't dare break a promise.

Ryan flew them all the way over to Traeger's base. Once they got there, they saw a small lab and two giant red ooze monsters. Grey and Traeger.
"Okay guys, we've never fought two monsters at once before, but there's a first time for everything!" Ryan says to the team.
"Mech Execute!"

They started fighting. It was hard enough trying to beat one red ooze monster, now he had two to deal with. The monsters were very tough. Ryan thought he saw a weak spot in Grey's monster and shouted over to Spyder.
"Spyder. Activate every single missile we have!"
"On it!" Spyder replied.
Just as Grey swiped at Ryan for an attack he jumped over top of her turned and fired all the missiles into her weak spot.
"Fire!"
The missiles hit perfectly. The monster exploded into a pile of red bubbly ooze. They cheered. They're victory was short lived though when they saw what happened next, the ooze grouped together and formed back into the monster. They were invincible, no matter how many times Ryan knocked them apart, they would always regroup and reform.
"Harris...what do we do" Ryan asked the genius.
"I don't know." Was all he got as a reply.
"Harris doesn't know! We're doomed!" Spyder shrieked.
As if the monsters had been waiting for that they lunged at Ryan making a critical hit to the weapons dispenser.
"All weapons are offline!" Mark yelled.
"Shields are down too!" Harris yelled.
Then both monsters lunged once more sending critical hits to the front and back of the robot.
"AGH...this isn't good" Ryan said between breaths.
The monsters grabbed onto both sides of the robot and started pulling. The arms came off and sparks and wires flew everywhere.
"AGHHHHHHH!" Ryan screamed. He just got his arms ripped off, he was in an unbearable amount of pain.
"Ryan!" Mark yelled. He ran down to his brother and checked on him.
"My arms...I...I can't feel them..." Ryan looked at his own arms. It was as if they weren't even there. He didn't have time to process this though as a small bomb came in through the glass of the mech. Ryan was the first to see it.
"Everyone down! NOW!"
They all did as he said just in time before it exploded sending Ryan flying to the back of the robot and the others to the ground covered in debris from the explosion.
