"Goodbye, Miss Kim!"

The last goodbye.

I stood at the door of the awakened coffee shop, waiting for Rebecca to say her last words to them. In the minimal amount of time she had, she managed to win the hearts of almost everyone. I had the suitcases with us, and Rebecca held her bag. She jumped through the kitchen to bid Luna and Brent goodbye, who had also come out to do the same. As soon as she bid all of the love-torn baristas a nice day, she turned around and ran up towards me. She had collected everyone's numbers: Doctor Pat, Manager Kim, Luna, Brent, Philip.

"Aren't you going to say goodbye to them?" She said in the silence.

Everyone turned to look at her. I peered up at them. As my hand entwined with hers, I finally said the words that were inside of me. "Take care of the shop." Glancing at Luna, who was already crying, I kept a straight face. "Luna, good luck on your surgery. Brent, take care of Elaina. Miss Kim, find yourself a boyfriend." The manager snorted at this. "Philip." At the sound of his name, he looked up, startled. My lips thinned. "Take care of the baristas. They're lost. So guide them." I sighed. "And also, take care of Luna for me. She's like my little sister here, so she needs safety."

Philip nodded. Luna had been reading my words and looked over at Philip. She had an almost disgusted look on her face. I huffed. I'm trying to make you two fall in love. Jesus Christ.. Recently, Luna learned her boyfriend had cheated on her with four other women, and the breakup was messy.

Everyone then bid their goodbyes in sync, and we headed out the shop. Rebecca trailed close behind me as I dragged her by the hand. The streets were surprisingly emptier than usual, with only the usual nitpickers out and about. This was most likely due to the falling snow, which was turning the air cold and leaving people's noses red. Feeling my pockets for the plane tickets that arrived yesterday, I looked down at Rebecca, who was clutching the blue bunny in her arm tightly. I'm surprised she's still holding onto that like her life depends on it.

"So," I said. This caught her attention as she glanced up at me with her brown eyes sparkling. "Do you want to take a painful walk to the airport, or waste some money on a taxi?"

Rebecca's lips pursed together as her cheeks puffed out. She looked down at the snow on the pavement, thinking. "Eehhh.." she murmured, "a taxi."

I nodded.

~~~
Strolling into the airport left a nostalgic scent in my nose. I couldn't quite realize what it was until we checked in our tickets and sat down on the plane, waiting for it to take off. We were the few early passengers, so I estimated two hours until take-off. Rebecca and I had a heated debate over a window seat and an aisle seat, since the seats were basically first-come, first-serve.
"The window seat has the best views!" Rebecca exclaimed as we hustled down the narrow aisle.
I shot a glare at her, "And in case of an emergency, sitting in the aisle seats are a better chance of safety!"
Clearly, the passengers behind us, an elderly couple in their late 70s, were slightly amused at our quarrel. It took us a while until I caved in with a window seat. Except for the fact that I made her sit closer to the aisle than the actual window. I don't know why; it was just the feeling of protecting her from harm. She was pretty upset at this, but nonetheless happy that she managed to win me over. The elderly couple that was behind us in line was sitting in the aisle seats. With the current time we had until take-off, Rebecca and I decided to use this time to get to know each other better.
"So, like 20 Questions?" She questioned curiously, her arms hugging the blue bunny.
I shrugged and nodded. "Yeah, basically. I'll go first." She nodded. "Here's a hard question. What's your favorite candy bar?"
Rebecca blinked at the question. She burst out in a fury of giggles, muffling herself by stuffing the blue bunny in her face. Looking up at me with a smile, she then asked, "Are you serious?"
I nodded. "One hundred percent."
"I-I don't know," she replied, responding to the question. I ignored the teal blinker in the corner of my vision. Nervous. "I, uh, guess I'd have to say Twix. I really love chocolate and caramel together."
"Mine is Hershey's," I said. Peering out the window, I added, "A simple chocolate candy bar is the best."
"No wonder you're so lifeless!" She exclaimed a bit loudly. The elderly couple beside us chuckled. My cheeks reddened in embarrassment, but Rebecca didn't notice. "You have absolutely no taste in your life." Looking up at me, I flushed even more when her eyes widened at my reaction. "Oh my god, are you blushing?!"
"N-No!" I replied defiantly. I turned away, my cheeks reddening.
"You are!!"
I suddenly felt soft hands on my face, pinching my cheeks. This forced me to look at Rebecca, who was smiling so innocently that I felt bound in chains for being so stone-like towards her. She kept laughing at me for blushing, my heavy gaze on her going by unnoticed.
It's weird.
I feel.. something.
With her.
A/N
So after a while, I realized that I should probably explain how the blinkers in the techbrain work. It's only shown when the emotions are very prominent and strong.
Also, quick blinker color code.
Red - Angry
Orange - Lying
Yellow - Happy
Green - Jealous
Teal - Nervous
Blue - Calm
Indigo - Worried
Purple - Upset
Pink - Flustered
