i never thought lisanna would fall for a boy.

really, she seemed too smart to do so.

plus, she's been swooning over bickslow until he graduated.

i walked around the halls looking for lisanna. i needed to talk to her. even if she was talking to that pink haired freak.

i peaked around the corner. there lisanna was. she was blushing at the pink haired freak.

not gonna lie, i was a bit jealous.

"lisanna," i walked toward her and grabbed her arm. "we need to talk."

"lucy what the fu-" i cut lisanna off.

"i said we need to talk." i interrupted.

i took her to the corner of the hallway.

"so you're just gonna ditch me for a boy?" i asked her.

"where did that come from lucy? of course i never will!" she answered.

"oh okay, that's good!" i sighed.

"well, i gotta get going!" she ran back down the hallway. "ah, natsu! you waited for me!"

i watched her run toward him. he didn't seem very interested.

i just stared at her hugging him.

would she really ditch me?

we've been best friends for as long as i could remember...

the pink haired freak saw me looking over.

i stopped zoning out.

crap! the freak is coming this way! do i attack him with my geometry book?

lisanna followed him.

"ah, natsu! i see you've met my friend lucy!" lisanna said excitedly.

friend?

"hi." the freak said.

nice usage of words.

"hi." i replied back.

there was really nothing else to say.

"well, i'm leaving. you should to, lis." i turned around and walked towards my class.

"wait!" the freak stepped in front of me.

i got startled by his appearance. i hit him with my geometry book.

"sorry!" i said. "i didn't mean to i got startled."

lisanna grabbed natsu's arm. "come on, natsu!" she dragged him down the hall. she turned her head back at me and gave me her "i freaking hate you" look.

so much for an everlasting friendship.

i walked into my class.

flashback:

"lucy!" lisanna ran down the hall.

"huh?" i turned around.

"you wouldn't believe what i saw!" lisanna looked excited.

"what did you see?" i asked her.

"in the restroom there was a fight!" she yelled a bit.

"why do you look excited then?" i asked her.

"i'm not!" she replied. "it was scary! i mean, they were going at it!"

"why didn't you break them up?" i asked her.

"it was too difficult!" lisanna answered.

"alright," i dragged her with me. "i'll break it up."

"thanks!" lisanna said.

as i was dragging her down the hall, she snatched one of my pieces of gum.

we made it to the restroom.

"there's no fight." i said.

"oops." lisanna giggled.

"lisanna, is that my gum?" i asked her.

she laughed and ran off.

"lisanna!" i yelled for her.

"lucy!" she yelled back at me.

we chased each other down the hall until we both tripped. we both laughed and were sent to class immediately.

end of flashback.

it was hard to pay attention in class.

a friend.

that i've always had.

fell for a boy.

and left me.

like a footprint in the mud.
