*Selena's POV*

"Babe," I heard someone whisper to me as they poked me. "Sel, wake up."

I turned onto my side, shoving my head between mine and justin's pillows.

"Selena, I have to go. Please wake up," Justin said again shaking me lightly.

I moved my head from the pillows and squinted at him. "Go? Where?"

"Scooter called me this morning and asked me to come into the offices. He said there's some things we need to talk about," he said shrugging his shoulders.

"Tell him to shove it, and that you're on a break," I mumbled closing my eyes again as I rested my head back on my pillow.

"I know, I know, but it may be important. It may even be about the press thing from the other day, plus we need to start making the schedule and getting back into the groove of things. We only have like a week left of our little vacation."

I groaned loudly, "Don't remind me. But if I do recall correctly, that all sounds like work stuff and you still have a week off of work."

"Sel, an hour or two won't hurt me. But, you do need to get up. I want you to go out with Emma and Taylor today. You haven't seen her in a while and it's a good way to spend time with Emma. This evening we have to drop Emma off with Kate for the weekend."

"Ugh," I sighed.

"I know, but it has to be done or we lose Emma for good. You can come with me to keep Kate at bay, but no chick fights please," he said in a joking tone.

He stood up and kissed my head, "I have to go now. Emma's in her room getting ready. I already told Taylor, she'll be here to pick you up in about 30 minutes. I love you, be good."

"Love you," I yelled to him as he walked out of our bedroom. "Don't take too long! Call me when you're done!"

I laid in bed for a few more minutes before forcing myself to get up and get ready for lord knows what. I could only imagine the things that Justin had planned for us.

With not knowing exactly what was in our futures for the day, I decided to dress casual but cute. I put my make up on and did my hair before going and checking on Emma.

"Are you dressed and ready to go, baby?" I asked her as I walked into her room seeing her playing on the floor with her dolls.

She looked up and me and nodded before turning her attention back to the dolls. "When are you and daddy going to have a baby?" she asked not looking at me as she said it.

I looked at her a little taken back by what she had said. Where would she get this idea?

"Justin and I won't be having a baby for quite some time. We want to get married and settled first," I answered honestly.

She nodded her head and went back to playing with her dolls. Well that was weird.

Just as I was about to ask where that came from I heard a honk from the front of the house singling that Taylor was here.

I took Emma's hand and walked down the stairs, out to Taylor's car.

"Who's ready for high tea?" she asked with a big smile causing Emma to squeal. Oh this was going to be fun.

*Justin's POV*

I opened the door to the office and walked in feeling the cool air from the building surround me. I smiled and waved to some of Scooter's other clients as I walked back to his office.

Without hesitating, I pulled open the door and walked in.

"No, that's not going to work," Scooter said into the phone. "I don't care if that's what he wants. You know what? I'm not dealing with this right now. If you want to talk real business call me later," He said before hanging up the phone.

I laughed and took a seat in one of the chairs in front of his desk.

"Sorry about that. Anyway, there are a few things I want to talk to you about," he said.

I nodded my head telling him that I was listening, "Go on."

"I know that you don't come back to work for about another week, and that's when we will start writing, but then I thought about the song that you sang at the award show. It's ready to record so we will do that first and I even want to get started on a music video for that.."

I nodded my head slowly looking at him as he talked, "Uh huh?"

"I wanted to know maybe for the music video we did a fan contest and the girl would get to be in the video?" he asked.

I leaned back on the chair thinking to myself. Besides the song at the award show, I hadn't done anything for my fans since my last tour. Maybe that would be a good way to get the fans pumped again and even a way to repay them for sticking with me through everything I had been through.

"I think that's a great idea," I said nodding my head in approval.

"I'm glad you think that, because I've already announced it. It ends the week after you get back. So that gives us enough time to record before we shoot the video," he said with a smile on his face.

I gave him a disappointed look. He knew I hated it when he started stuff without asking me BEFORE.

"Oh! I also wanted to mention the press conference," he started. "You did really good. I'm proud of you. You've come a long way. The press hasn't written anything bad yet so we are doing great. Things seem to be looking up for you, Justin."

Finally, it was about time. I was so glad that things were finally beginning to fall back into place with me. I just wanted to make sure it lasted.
