I watched Circe fall, to the ground. I smiled. Good job Hina. I thought to myself.
I walked to Hina and smiled, "Good job Hina."
"Thank you Damien." her face lit up like a firework.
"Who are you?" the boy asked me. "Why did you guys kill Coco? I mean Circe!"
"May I ask who are you? I am Damien, and this is Hina." I gestured.
"Jason, and.... well I-I-I want to know why you killed her!"
I smirked, "She didn't tell you Jason? Circe didn't tell you how she killed hundred of people? Seven years ago? At our lab? We had to exterminate her. We cannot have more deaths on our hands. Simple as that."
I had been expecting a more shocked, disturbed reaction from him. Yet he stayed quiet as a mouse, looking at Circe.
"The guards should be here soon Hina." I told her. I gripped the knife in my pocket. I closed my eyes. I started to feel attached to her. No. I have to do this.
"Alright Damien!" she said brightly. I bit the inside of my cheek. Hina expects nothing. Should I really do this?
"Damien!" I heard Marcus yell.
"Over here! Come look at Circe! She is dead! The most deadly Chiwa killed by a branch!" I laughed manically. I saw a few uncomfortable glances. I was feeling crazed. What was happening to me?
My laugh grew louder and more crazy by the minute. "She's dead! Rose! Circe is dead!"
"Damien! Look!" Marcus pointed.
I turned around and saw Circe move a bit. She's alive? How? A sweat broke over my body.
This can't happen. I watched Hina her eyes got big.
Everything was happening slowly. A blue glow was coming off her body. Then the light seemed to pick her up. Her dress no longer blood stained. Her skin pale with no sign of red anywhere. Her eyes were closed peacefully.
"Shoot!" I ordered them.
The guards shot at her but the light seemed to work as a shield, not letting in any foreign objects come through.
"Hina!" I yelled at her.
I saw her dark Chiwa's come out her back and try to get past the light. Hina was screaming when she came in contact with the light.
"It burns!" Hina cried. She slinked back shaking.
I watched helplessly. I noticed the stick was still lodged in her stomach.
"Chiwa is right, the world is ending."
