I closed my eyes and breathed in the salty air. The whole time the military was looking for me I had been at the beach where Jason and I first met. On the inside I felt as if a piece died inside of me. Jason thought I was a monster. Was I? I opened my eyes and gazed out into the sea. The stars sparkled in the deep blue sky, offering a small comfort to my loneliness.

Curling into a ball and silently crying, thats what I kept doing. I was sure my supply of tears would soon run out. I cried for everything, Jason, Alice, Aphrodite, and everyone else I have hurt.

"I guess I am a monster." I said to myself, it was twisted that I was smiling. Tears still ran down my face but I told myself to do what do had to. All I wanted to do was survive. Live another day. I brought out my chiwas and curled them around me, giving me the false sense of being hugged by someone who loves me.

I decided I needed to take any precaution in order to survive. I would need a gun. Make me a bit more intimidating. The one place I knew that would give me a gun, I mean steal would be the army base. They probably had an infinite amount of ammo, plus I could kill a few men if they stood in my way.

It was about midnight, so if I went to the base in three hours most of them would be drunk or asleep. It was an opportune time for me to go. There wouldn't be too many soldiers out so it wouldn't be a suicide mission for me.

That was in three hours though, what could I do in the meantime? I rocked back and forth thinking. I realized I still had my black homecoming dress on, it was ripped and there were faint traces of red blood stains on it. Maybe I needed new clothes.

I got up and stretched, I guess I would head to my old home. I unfurled my wings which I had found to be quite handy these past few days, and I took off. I was lucky most of the streets were dark and it would be easy to fly unnoticed.

I let out a sigh of relief when I spotted Jason's house, and even better the window to my room was open. I dived through it quickly and tried to land as quietly as possible. My room looked the same as I last saw it. Bed slightly messy, closet open, and my brush with blue hair on it was on the floor.

I stripped out of my dress and let it fall to the floor before laying it out on my bed. I noticed the dress had something weighing it down. I reached in the pocket and pulled out the pocket watch with the words elegantly engraved into the back, Live Beautifully.

A tear came out and landed on the watch. I set it down on the bed gently and walked to Jason's room. I peeked in the dark room to see him sleeping soundly, which is good because I had to take a shower and I didn't want to wake him. I shut the door and walked to the bathroom.

I turned on the dim light and looked myself in the mirror. My body was pale from head to toe. Dried blood lay on my stomach, and in my hair. I looked awful, a shower should help me feel more refreshed.

I walked over to the shower and turned it on to warm. Stepping in the hot water relaxed me in every way. I grabbed the pink bottle of Herbal Essences Jason had bought me when I first moved in and scrubbed the shampoo in my roots. I still think showers are the most enjoyable thing in the world. Especially since all my life I never had it this good.

I grabbed a shaver and shaved my legs and armpits. I did not want to be blue on my legs. I touched my legs and realized there was no hair. Nothing not even stubble. Weird, but I dismissed it and washed out the shampoo, not concerned about shaving anymore.

I grabbed the conditioner bottle and squirted a glop on my palm. I rubbed the conditioner on my long blue hair that was down to my waist. I would have to put it up after this to keep my hair out of the way.

Although I wished that I could stay in this shower forever I knew I couldn't. I had to be on the move quick. I probably had two hours before I had to go to the army base, not that I was worried or anything. I just wanted to be punctual, that's all.
