Butterflies.
That's exactly how I feel whenever I even hear her name.
She meant everything to me. Even though I've known her just for a short time, it felt like I've known her for a lifetime.
We walked back to the complex. We walked into the flat and heard the TV blasting from Harry and Louis's flat. We walked up there and opened the door to see the boys on the couch, watching a horror film marathon. Catelyn had her eyes glued to the screen. Terror reflected brightly in her eyes. It looked like she didn't want to watch but wasn't able to pull away.
Harry looked over at her and wrapped his arm protectively around her shoulders. Finally pulling away from the screen she pressed her face into his chest.
He saw us walk in. He smirked at me when he saw that I had seen his move. I smirked back.
Liam stood up. He seemed to have seen to much of the movie, too. He looked a bit pale as he walked into another room.
Zayn and Louis were staring intensely at the screen. There was no terror on their faces. Their faces were full of excitement. They loved scary movies and they didn't seem to care that it was scaring the life out of everyone else.
Liam walked back in and walked over to us, trying to avoid looking at the screen. I noticed how he kept glancing every now and then at the screen.
"You, Nataly, Catelyn, and Harry go and meet me in my flat," Liam whispers to me.
I sent Nataly to Liam's flat and walked around the couch to where Harry and Catelyn were sitting. I tapped them on the shoudler. Harry turned calmly. Catelyn however, jumped, obviously still spooked from the movie.
"Liam wants us to meet up with him in his flat," I whispered.
"Oh ok, come on Cat," Harry whispered, pulling Catelyn up with him. We left Louis and Zayn to watch their movie and walked to Liam's flat.
Liam and Nataly were sitting on the couch, waiting for us.
"Finally, you're here!" Liam exclaimed.
"We've just been a minute, wasn't such a long time,"Harry complained.
"It's ok guys, just sit down," Nataly says, kindly.
I smiled at her. She smiled back.
"Ok well, we have to make a plan for tonight," Liam says, getting right to the point.
"That's easy. We sneak to the warehouse, sneak in, find out what we're up against, come back and make a plan to get Nataly's parents out alive," I sum it all up.
"You forgot to mention don't get caught," Harry muttered.
"Well, Harry if we're coming back, we weren't caught," I smirked at him. He stuck his tongue out at me.
"Boys," ,Liam scolded.
"Yes Daddy D," I joked, smiling innocently at the ground.
He ignored that comment.
"Girls, do you guys have an idea how to get to the warehouse without getting noticed?" Liam said turning his attention to Catelyn and Nataly who sat next to him on his couch.
"Well, back before when I was on the run, Catelyn, my family and I would travel through the sewers. Those doofs never found. To them we would just appear out of the shadows. If we were captured, we'd be there one moment and gone the next," Nataly smirked.
"Ok so you guys will travel by sewer. So once you get there?" Liam pressed on.
"Well basically, we do what Niall said. We sneak in, see what they have guarding my parents, maybe even find out what they have in store for me. Then we sneak out. Plain and simple and those dumbells won't ever know we were there," Nataly shrugs.
Catelyn gets up and walks into another room.
"Catelyn? What are you doing?" Harry calls after her.
We hear machinery whirring and then Catelyn walks back into the living room with a huge map in her hands.
Nataly smiles knowingly.
"What you got there?" I ask her.
"Only Catelyn's map. She always goes to some website and prints out local sewer systems so that we know where we're going. Wherever we are," Nataly smiles at her best friend. Catelyn smiles and winks at her.
"That's amazing," Liam says, standing up and walking over to Catelyn. He starts reading the map over her shoulder.
"Ok, the nearest entrance to the sewer is a porthole on the street in front of Nandos. We can go and enter through there. Then we walk through these pipes here and we should arrive there behind the warehouse," Catelyn says. We walk over to her and she traces the way with her finger.
"you guys need to be quiet the entire time. They cannot know we were there. On the way back, we have to make sure they don't follow us and make sure they don't trace us. Most importantly, don't get caught. If you do, Catelyn and I will try to save you guys," Nataly looks at Harry and I.
"What if you guys get captured and we make it out?" Harry asks.
"Most likely, they'll be after me. They'd let Catelyn go. Well they have to, that was the deal," Nataly said.
"Ok, meet us outside at 10:00 p.m. ok?" Catelyn says. We all nod. Catelyn and Harry go back to Harry's flat. Niall and I go back to his flat.
"So what exactly do you wear on a top-secret spy mission?" I shout to her. I'm in my room, trying to figure out what to wear.
"You wear black genius," she says walking in. She walks past me to my drawers. She pulls out a simple long-sleeved black shirt. She pulls out a simple pair of black jeans. She walks into my closet and pulls out all black sneakers. Then she walks back in and pulls out a black beanie.
"What's the beanie for?" I ask her as she sets it on my bed.
"I don't know if you noticed but you are the only that has blonde hair. And blonde hair is noticeable in the dark," she says, getting it and setting it on my head.
I looked at the floor.
"Hey, I don't like covering it up either. I love your hair, but we can't risk getting caught," she says, pulling the lip of the beanie over my ears. She steps back and looks at me.
"Hardly noticeable," she smiles.
I smile half-heartedly. I was so nervous. It was my first time sneaking into an abandoned warehouse to find out what exactly is after my best friend.
"Oh my god, is the Niall Horan actually nervous?" she laughs, playfully.
"Is it that obvious?" I ask, smiling sheepily at her.
"You turned a little pale," she said, holding her fingers apart an inch.
I smile at her. She walks over and gives me a reassuring hug. I hold her close to me.
"What are you so nervous about?" she asks me in my ear.
"Losing you," I whisper.
"You're not going to," she says, pulling away and looking at me.
"I promise," she said, seeing that I still wasn't convinced.
Should I tell her? Should I tell her my true feelings for her. No, not right now. Not when we're about to go and risk our lives.
But if not now, then when? We're going to always be in danger now. I can't just keep making up excuses. I'll tell her after we come back. No exceptions. She has to know. I'm going to tell her.
Tonight.
