Nataly's POV

I was getting worried.

Worried more and more every single day.

I'm happy.

Slightly happier every day.

I'm worried because Reynolds hasn't struck yet.

I'm happy because Reynolds hasn't struck yet.

I'm worried because Liam is safe, for the moment.

I'm happy because Liam is still safe, even if it's only temporary.

The boys seemed to notice how I was already starting to shut myself out again. I sat in Niall's room, thinking things over.

Niall limps in.

"Nataly, what's wrong now?" he asks, sitting down next to me.

"I'm thinking. About that thing, with you know, Liam and I," I stutter, raising my head to look out the window.

"Can you explain a little more? Still lost here," he asks.

"Right now, Liam's the one in the most danger right now," I say turning my head to look at him.

"Why?" he asks, his blue eyes full of concern.

"I'm scared of how you'd take it," I admitted, looking at my shoes.

"Try me," he says with a smug look on his face. I look at him and stand up. I head for the door.

"Where are you going?" he asks.

"Nowhere," I say as I close the door.

I went back and sat down next to him again.

"What I am about to tell you, you can not tell anyone," I tell him.

"Of course," he says, turning his torso to face me.

"Reynolds is after Liam. I'm his main target, but Liam's his second," I rush.

"He said he was going to get Liam first, but that he wouldn't tell me when. He's up to something. He wouldn't have taken this long," I continue. I look at his face.

His eyes are filled with shock. I would understand why. Liam and Niall were like brothers. They were inseperable. It just now hit me how much it probably had tore Liam apart when he saw how Niall had come home. And now Niall must be feeling the same way. I hurt for both of them.

"Oh," he breathed.

"I'm sorry," I said, seeing his face.

"No don't be, this isn't your fault," he said.

"Yes, yes it is!" I yell tilting my head back with tears flowing down my face.

"No it's not," he grabs my hand and tries to calm me down by rubbing circles on the back of my hand.

"Yes, it is! It's all my fault. I mixed you all up in this. I'm so sorry Niall. You have no idea how sorry I am," I sob.

He wraps his arms around me and holds me close to him.

"Nataly, it's going to be completely fine. Everything will be ok," he whispers into my hair.

"What if it's not?" my voice keeps breaking.

"It all will be," he whispers. He pulls back to look at me. He wipes away a few tears.

"I promise."

Everyone was making their way to their flats. I stood in Niall's doorway. Harry walked by.
