The four of us watched as tears formed in Catelyn's dad's eyes. After he reread the note, he lifted his head and looked out the window. He looked around as if expecting us to walk out of the fog that was starting to rise. How I wished we could.
More and more tears flowed down my cheeks. They seemed to continue nonstop.
"Honey? I think- I think they were here," he says turning to his wife and walking out of view.
Catelyn and I continued crying. Harry tried shushing her. He stroked her hair.
Liam cradled my head against his chest. I cried it all out.
"Thanks Liam," I say, wiping my tears away with the back of my hand and sniffling.
"No problem, Nat," he says.
Catelyn is sniffling, but she stayed in Harry's arms. Harry didn't seem to mind anyway.
"We should probably get back," Liam says, holding out his hand. I take it and he helps me up.
Harry and Catelyn stand up but Catelyn stays snuggled against Harry's chest.
-------------------------------------------------
I lay down on the couch. I turn to face the TV. Harry and Catelyn are snuggled together, sound asleep. Liam and Danielle had fit themselves on the other couch. Louis and Eleanor were in my old room. Zayn got the guest room, or as I used to call it, Catelyn's room because she would always sleep there when she slept over. And then mom and dad had their bedroom to themselves.
I stared up at the ceiling, wondering what they were doing to him now. Silent tears slid down my face.
I missed him. I wanted to have him right next to me. I wanted to hold him close. But no, he was off getting pummeled and beaten.
I closed my eyes as a few more tears escaped. His face filled my head. I dreamed that he was laying down beside me right now, his arms around me, holding me close. I looked at Catelyn and Harry.
Even in their sleep, you can tell how much they care for one another. I wanted something like that. And I knew that with Niall, I can have something like that. But he has to be here first.
More tears came down my cheeks and my breathing shallowed. And I cried myself to sleep.
-------------------------------------------------------
We looked around the corner of the building. Louis and Zayn seemed full of nervous energy. I just wanted to get this done with so we can go rescue Niall.
There was the high security gate. It was electric and was usually on. I picked up a branch from the ground.
"Nat, what are you doing?" Louis asks me, looking at me confused.
"Checking something," I answer as I chuck it at the fence.
The branch hits it without getting burnt. There wasn't even a sizzle.
"It's off," I say.
I look up and down the street to make sure it was empty. "Come on, guys," I say, gesturing them to follow me.
We walk up to the gate and slide it open. We creep through the front lawn and up the steps.
So what we were breaking into right now, looked like an ordinary house. But I've been here enough times to know that it is so much more than that. We walk up onto the front porch.
This mission consisted of Louis and Zayn ( they had wanted to go on a mission considering they haven't been on one yet, plus Louis says he goes because he came up with the whole idea) Eleanor, Danielle, Liam, and me.
