THEY HAD BEEN on the island for almost a week. Elys sighed, lying on the couch in Becca's house. She was so bored and wished she hadn't come. Everyone was so busy helping Abby and Raven and taking blood from Luna. She didn't know what to do.

Also, Murphy kept hanging around her because he was the only other person with nothing to do.

She looked up, seeing him sitting in a recliner on the other side of the room.

He glances up at her and gives her a small smile. "We should go check out the lighthouse. We left some clothes behind. Maybe we could take them back to Arkadia."

"We're not going back to Arkadia. The radiation will be here before then. And I never want to step foot in that lighthouse again." She says, closing her eyes as she lays back on the couch.

Murphy sighs, getting up and going into the kitchen.

Miller walks in, lifting Elys' feet and plopping onto the couch with them on his lap. "Are you ever gonna stop hating him?" He asks.

She looks up at him. "Nope." She says, giving him a smile.

"Can't say I blame you." He shrugs.

"What about you and Bryan? Are you guys gonna work things out?"

He shrugs. "I don't know, honestly. After everything that happened in Farm Station, I don't know if he'll ever want to."

Elys nods, putting her hand on his arm.

"What choice would you have made?" He asks her.

"I would've saved them. But I fully understand why you wanted to take the machine. It was to save everyone."

He nods, sighing. "It was a clear choice to me. But Bryan didn't agree. And now I might not see him again."

"You'll see him again. I promise, Nate." Elys smiles, squeezing his hand before walking into the kitchen, rubbing her eyes.

"Thought you didn't believe we'd make it back?"

She looks up to see Murphy smiling at her. "I don't." She snaps. "But that doesn't mean he shouldn't."

Later that day, Elys sat with Raven and Luna in the lab. Raven was on the ship, going through another simulation.

"Hello? Is anyone there?" They hear Clarke's voice on the radio.

Elys looks up at Luna before picking up. "Clarke? Hey, it's Elys."

"Elys, is my mom around you?" Clarke asks.

"She's resting right now. In the next room. Do I need to wake her?"

"Uh no. Not yet. Look, we lost a barrel of fuel. We were attacked on our way there..."

Elys heard the disappointment in her voice. "Hey, Clarke. It's okay. It's Raven. She'll figure something out..."
