THE FIVE OF them quickly ran through the forest back towards the dropship. They all thought Jasper was dead and had to warn everyone else that they weren't alone. Right in front of Elys, Monty tripped. She and Finn tried to pull him up. But he was looking at the ground in front of him. They looked and saw bones that looked very much like human ones.
"Who are they?" Finn asked.
Clarke picked up a skull that looked similar to a gorilla. "What are they?"
"We are so screwed..." Elys says, looking at Clarke.
They all freeze when they hear a loud scream. Clarke gasps. "Jasper, he's alive!" She runs in the direction of the gorge and they see the Mount Weather sign. But Jasper's body was gone.
"Where is he?" Elys asks.
Clarke looks horrified. "They took him..."
They all quickly made their way back to the dropship. Octavia's leg was hurting her more and more, so Elys put her arm around her shoulder and helped her.
When they arrived back, they saw Wells holding a knife to the throat of the guy who had shoved him the day before.
Clarke rushed towards them. "Wells! Let him go!"
Wells shoved the guy to the ground and he immediately came at him again.
Bellamy stopped him and pushed him back when he saw Octavia and Elys. "Octavia!" He ran over to them and looked at Octavia's injuries. "Are you alright?"
She nods and he looks to Clarke. "Where's the food?"
They all look at each other and Finn sits on a rock next to where Elys was standing. "We didn't make it to Mount Weather."
"What the hell happened out there?" Bellamy demands.
"We were attacked," Clarke replies.
"By what?"
Finn looks up. "Not what. Who. It turns out, when the last man from the ground died on the Ark, he wasn't the last Grounder."
"It's true. Everything we thought we knew about the ground is wrong. There are people here, survivors. The good news is, that means we can survive. Radiation won't kill us." Clarke explains.
"Yeah, the bad news is, the Grounders will." Elys speaks up, looking at Bellamy.
Wells speaks up after looking around. "Where's the kid with the goggles?"
"Jasper was hit. They took him." Clarke looks down and notices Wells' wrist. "Where is your wristband?!"
Wells' face looks to Bellamy in disgust. "Ask him."
Clarke glares at him. "How many?"
The boy Wells was fighting smiles proudly. "Twenty-four and counting."
