THE NEXT MORNING, Elys woke up feeling very warm and cozy. She snuggled closer to the pillow, sighing happily. She suddenly hears a low chuckle causing her to slowly look up and see Murphy. Realizing she's lying on his chest, she pulls away quickly.

He laughs. "Good morning, gorgeous."

Her face heats up at his words. "I-I'm gonna shower." She says, crawling out of bed and heading to the bathroom.

She stops at the full-length mirror, taking in her appearance with a sigh. She had bags under her eyes from exhaustion, as well as cuts and bruises all over. Her once bright red hair was dry and dull from never washing it and her eyes looked lifeless. Her eyes then trailed down to her stomach. She lifted her shirt to see more bruises, no doubt from Murphy's gun. She was also very skinny. Her ribs were protruding and her hip bones very prominent.

Being on Earth was definitely taking its' toll on her body.

Wiping away a stray tear, Elys gets in the shower. Once finished, she walks back into the bedroom. Murphy was gone. She grabs a t-shirt and slides it on over a pair of jean shorts. She throws her hair up with the rubber band she kept around her wrist.

She heads into the kitchen where Murphy is sitting at the table with two bowls. "You made me breakfast?" She asks, startling him.

He jumps and looks up at her, taking in her appearance. "Yeah, oatmeal." He says, pushing it towards her.

Elys sits down next to him, slowly starting to eat. "Do you think Jaha ever found the City of Light?" She randomly asks.

He snorts. "I hope not. At this point, I hope it doesn't exist."

"But where will we go when we get out of here? Back to the camp?"

"We're never getting out of here, Elys." He says, almost as if he's annoyed with her for thinking otherwise. "We're going to die here. Just accept it."

His words make her feel angry. "No. I won't. Because I'm not giving up, Murphy. I want to live. I want to see my dad and Bellamy and Octavia again."

Anger fills his face. "Well, guess what, Elys, you're not. You're never going to see your precious Bellamy again." He says, throwing his bowl in the sink, the glass shattering.

Elys jumps at the sound, averting her eyes back to her own oatmeal.

After a few minutes of awkward silence, she speaks up. "You just wasted food.."

His eyes snap to hers. "Shut up, Elys."

They sit in another awkward silence for a bit. He then clears his throat, awkwardly. "We should see what else is on that tape."

She nods and places her bowl on the counter, not wanting to put it in the broken glass. They go into the living room and he turns the tape back on.
