ELYS HAD BEEN in Murphy's tent for two days. She hadn't spoken to anyone but Murphy. Not even her dad. She wasn't blaming anyone for Finn's death, she just didn't want to talk to anyone. She couldn't talk to anyone. She could tell Murphy still blamed himself, so he was going out of his way to keep her happy. Bellamy hadn't even come to check on her. They were all just channeling their grief into making it up to the grounders.
They had also had a funeral for Finn with the grounders. Elys refused to attend, as it was a cremation by the ones who hated him. Clarke collected a few ashes for her, and she and Murphy had their own funeral.
Speaking of Clarke, Elys, unlike Raven, didn't hate her for what she had done. She knew deep down that it was better for Finn. The grounders were going to torture him and she couldn't have handled that. She also knew Clarke loved him and felt that it was the best way. She made sure that Murphy told Clarke all of this when he retrieved the ashes from her.
She was lying on Murphy's cot when he came in. He sighs, sitting on the edge next to her legs. "Well, there are grounders in camp. Full-fledged truce."
Elys rolls her eyes, sighing. "I'm sick of it here. I'd rather have died in lockup on the Ark."
Murphy smirks. "Then you wouldn't have met me."
She laughs softly, sitting up in front of him. "We're an odd pair, huh? We hated each other at first. Now, look at us."
He smiles. "I never hated you."
"You didn't?"
He shakes his head, smiling. He looks into her eyes, causing her to feel a bit shy. He leans forward, pressing his lips to her forehead.
She blushes, smiling up at him.
He smiles. "I've gotta go do my work. I'll be back soon." He gets up and then leaves the tent.
Unbeknownst to her, Murphy had taken on her work as well. Apparently, the death of a family member didn't get you out of your chores in Camp Jaha.

That night, Murphy walks into his tent. "Get up. We're going to the dropship."
Elys sits up. "What?"
"Jaha wants to see Wells' grave. You're coming with me." He says, pulling her up from the cot.
She nods and puts on her boots and grabs her backpack. They then meet up with Jaha and head out.
Once the three of them reach the dropship and find the grave, Murphy and Elys sit and wait for him nearby.
Murphy sighs, looking up at Jaha. "Are we about done? We got to be heading back."
Jaha looks up at them. "How well did you know him?"
Murphy glares. "Well enough to be hung for his murder. Clarke sugarcoated it for you, didn't she?" He asks, bitterly. Elys lightly holds onto his hand.
