ELYS COLLINS WOKE up to the opening and slamming shut of her cell door. She rubbed her eyes and sat up, seeing her father and Commander Shumway standing in front of her.

Her father looked stressed. It had been over a week since he'd come to visit her. Which was odd, as he was allowed three visitations a week. She ran her hand through her red curly locks and looked up at the tired man.

"Dad? What's going on?" She asks, softly, her green eyes darting between the two guards.

David sighs, looking down at his daughter. He walks closer to her, his hand immediately brushing her hair from her face. "Elys, Chancellor Jaha has decided to send the prisoners in the skybox to Earth."

Elys' eyes widen. "What?! But we could die! Dad, you can't let him do this." She begs, as if her father had a say in the Chancellor's decisions. There may have been a council, but everyone knew it always came down to Kane and Jaha's rules. Despite being in the Skybox all her life, she knew the politics on the Ark. People talked.

David looks down, feeling broken. He'd already lost Elys once. Now, he was going to lose her again. Along with Finn this time. "There's nothing I can do, darling. The Ark won't be able to last much longer. There are not enough supplies and oxygen. People will die. You kids are our only hope."

"Is this why we all had the Earth Skills class with Pike?" She asks, it all now making sense.

He nods, solemnly. "Listen, Bellamy will be down there, too."

Elys gasps. "What? How? Bellamy didn't get arrested, did he? Don't let them float him!"

He shushes her and lifts her wrist for Shumway to clip a metal bracelet on her wrist. She winces as needles dig into her skin. "No, he hasn't been arrested." He says, looking to Shumway, nervously. "Just trust us." He says, brushing off the thoughts of the elder Blake. He had to trust Shumway. He nods to the metal around her wrist. "This bracelet lets us know you are safe down there. It sends your vitals to Doctor Griffin."

Elys sighs, throwing her arms around his neck. To say she was scared was an understatement. This could be the last time she ever saw him. "I love you, Dad."

He holds her tightly, kissing the top of her head. "I love you, Elys."

Commander Shumway pats her shoulder as David releases her. "Stay safe, Elys." He flashes her a knowing look and slips a knife into her hand.

"I will." She says, knowing she would have to be tough. She tucked the knife away in her bra as another guard poked his head into her cell.

"Commander Collins, they've got the dropship ready."

Her father nods, stiffly, and leads her toward the dropship. As they get to the door, he stops and pulls her to him again. "Elys, listen. Look for Finn. He'll be down there, too. He knows about you, but won't recognize you. He's your brother."
