Didn't Know That

This morning I had to leave pretty early to get to the college to finish up on a project and study some music theory.  In my rush I forgot to pick up my bento and my pointe shoes. During my break between my classes, I decide to run home and grab my things. Since I have a 2 and a half hour break between these classes today, I usually use this time to study or practice but I'm so flustered lately I'm not thinking straight.

You see, the other day, I went up to the family space to get some water. I couldn't sleep so I thought some water and a walk might help. When I was up there about to walk down I heard shuffling of feet and voices. Not fully sure what was going on, I walked closer to the edge and saw Tsubaki pinning Ema to the couch. Before I could gather my senses from the shock, Azusa pulled Tsubaki off of Ema. Ducking behind the corner I listened to their conversation.

"What do you think you are doing?" Azusa said.

"You know what I said Azusa. I will not lose her to you or to anyone. What are you doing down here?" Tsubaki shouted.

"I came down here to help with the script you asked me to help you with. Remember." Azusa said back calmly.

"Yeah, what ever." Tsubaki said with a "tch" at the end.

"I think you need to cool off before you do anything you'll regret." Azusa said back to his twin.

Tsubaki says nothing as I heard foot steps walking away, toward my direction. Panicking a little, not wanting to get in trouble, I scoot further back to hide in the space between the wall and a credenza. In a few seconds later I saw Tsubaki pass without a glance my way. When the foot steps become quieter, I release a breath I wan unintentionally holding.

"Thank you Azusa. I don't know what I would have done if you. . . ." Before Ema could finish her sentence Azusa interrupted her.

"Leave." There was a pause before, "Leave before I do something." Azusa said.

"What do you mean?" My younger sister asked innocently.

There was a humorless chuckle followed by, "I'm not different from him."

It was quite, until I heard the light patter of feet followed by the shuffling of something. After a few moments, the sound was then followed by a quite "good night". It was once again quite but someone was still down there.

"Damn it!" I heard before something hit something followed by a few more curses.

Flinching when something hit something. I sat there not wanting to get caught by an angered Azusa.

"I'm no better then him." I can hear shuffling feet and a groan of distress. "Why is it that we are all infatuated with her? Why can't she see any of it? How come we all want her?"

I didn't have to guess who he was talking about. I saw how they reacted towards her and how they always had an inner fight between each other vying for her attention.

In my train of thought, I tune back when the footsteps come up the steps by me. Trying to make myself as little as possible, I wait till those foot steps pass by. But, they don't.

Holding my breath, I listen until those foot steps leave. Instead I hear, "When did I first start take a liking towards her anyway? It was probably when her sister came, Ema is nothing like that Remi." Then the foot steps left.

So, yeah.

Ouch.

Anyway, I have been peicing together everything and trying to figure out which brother has the HOTS for my younger sister. Each time I find something, they always unintentionally compare us to each other.

Anyway, this is a fruitless cause that will only bear sour fruit. But, even sour fruit can still be useful and beneficial.

On the way home, I decide to take the train since it would be faster. Running home, I wait impatiently for the elevator to take me up. I would take the stairs, but the head injury has left me nauseous and a constant migraine. It must have been a concussion.

Once the elevator arrives, I go up to the top and try to even my breathing. When I get there, I step out and walk down stairs. In the kitchen is my bento left on the counter with what I had made for breakfast.

Never mind that could also be a cause of my not feeling well. I take off my bag and place my bento in my bag and leave that for dinner since I won't make it in time for dinner. Taking out a bottle of water from the fridge and an apple I place them on the counter right by the breakfast sandwich I made earlier.

Putting the sandwich on a paper towel, I place it into the microwave to warm up as I grab a knife and munch on the apple. Sitting peacefully on the counter I wait for my sandwich. When it dings, I take out my sandwich and place it on the counter to cool off. Eating softly on the apple, I hear a pair of feet coming down the main staicase. Not bothering to move, I sit there and much on the apple.

"What do you think of our sister?" I recognized that voice as Kaname's.

"You are aware that we have 2 sisters, right?" Asked another voice that sounds some what familiar.

"That's right. Fine then, what do you think about Ema, Hike-nii?" So then that other voice is Hikaru's.

"She is rather interesting but rather dense. What are your thought's on our sister dearest?" Hikaru asked back.

"Well, she is a rather sweet imouto, if I do say so myself." Kaname replied.

There was a light pause, then Hikaru spoke up. "What do you think about Remi then?"

"She is much different from her sister, don't you think? I mean, she is nice to have around but talking to a phone isn't very entertaining. Besides when she is with us, she stares off into space or has her nose dug into something." Kaname said to his younger brother.

"A studious student perhaps. She did graduate the top of her class after all." Hikaru said to my defense.

Even though he rubs me the wrong way, he's a rather sensible guy.

"That is true, but it is hard to talk to her when she doesn't even want to talk to us." Kaname said.

"Isn't it interesting, it is like a puzzle waiting to be solved. It just depends on who is willing to solve that puzzle. Would it be herself or would someone exploit it before she can do anything." Never mind about what I said about Hilkaru.

"Only time will tell. She has things in herself to find before she can open to other." So, Kaname really is a monk. That is the most monk thing I think I ever heard him say.

Ignoring the rest of their conversation, I silently gathered my things and left without them noticing. Making it back to campus, I realize I forgot my shoes. Sighing in defeat, I head to class and look at the rest of my schedule.

After this class, I have another class then I have to go to Hinode High's festival. After that I have internship until 10 in the evening. Which means once everything is said and done, I should be able to get enough sleep. I swear if I miss any more meals or sleep, I might die.

Shaking my head in fustration, I continue the rest of the day and make a mental note to head over to Ema's school to check out their festival.
