Chapter 40- He did.

Jakes POV-
It's been about two weeks since Erika and I have broken up. I'm still so hurt, but i don't show anyone because I don't want them to chose sides.

Erika's POV-
These past two weeks have been so boring. Luckily Tessa is having a house party tonight. She said something small. Not to big. I was excited to get out the house tonight. I've been hanging out with Anthony a lot for a couple of weeks now.. I kinda like him a little. And i know he used to like me in High school, but idk if he likes me now.

Tessa: So everyone at my house at 7. Don't be late
Chance: What kind of party is it? Is there a theme?
Tessa: Saints and Sinners. 😈
Erika: Oooh, nice theme T.
Mak: So dress like a saint or a sinner?
Chad: How does one dress as a "sinner" ???
Tessa: Just be creative Chad
Tony: Down.
Jake: I'll be there.
Tessa: Great❤️

It was 6 pm and i still haven't gotten up to get ready. I drag myself out of bed then i get two text. They were from Tony.

Tony: So are you going as a saint or a sinner?
Tony: Lets go together? I don't wanna show up alone.

I smirk and reply fast.
E: Lets go as sinners. See you in 45, my place.

I soon find a cute red dress that's kind of revealing but not to much.
I wave my hair with a wand and put on a some makeup. Soon I heard a doorbell. It was Tony.

I go to open the door and see Tony. He looked so hot.
I grabbed my phone and shoes and we headed to Tessa's.
As we pull up we see the gang outside helping Tessa set up. We get out the Car and everyone was staring at us.

Chance: WOW RIK where's the rest of your outfit?
Erika: Shut up. Where's you're outfit?
Chance: I'm a sinner.
Erika: Mm. Okay sure.

I smirk and walk inside to find Tessa and Mak and Sarah. As i go to open the door, Jake was coming out. We cross paths and stopped to stair at each other in the eyes. He broke the awkward silence.

J: Oh hey Erika.
E: Hi.. Jake.
J: You look great.
E: Thanks you do too.

God he looked so good in white. His skin was glowing.

Jakes POV-
I cross paths with Erika. She looked so hot. I wanted to make out with her right then and there. But i refrained myself.
We walk away from each-other and I go outside, with the boys.

J: Oh Tony when did you get here?
T: I just got here with Rik.

I looked kinda confused. Did they show up together? .. Wait .. Are they a thing? I was curious so I start asking questions to get my answer.

J: So Tony, has Rocky texted?
T: No, and frankly i don't want her too.
J: What happened to y'all anyways?
T: She was sleeping around with guys from the basketball team.
Chance: Ooh bad.
Chad: HONEY DONT COME FOR HIM WOOp

I laugh at chads hilarious catch phrases.

J: And have you been talking to anyone?
Chance: Oh yeah he has.
Chad: WHO
Anthony: Just some girl.. Nothing big.
J: Do we know her?
A: Yeah.
Chad: WHO IS IT MAN

The suspense grew inside me. I begged and prayed he wasn't going to say Erika.

A: It's this girl, i met her at school. She was in my Culinary class. Her names Alex.

My heart was in such relief. At least I knew tony wasn't going after her. But was she him?
I was gonna try and see if Tessa or Mak knew anything.

****Inside***
J: Hey T can i talk to you?
T: Yeah. sure..

I pull her aside and look at her in the eyes.
J: Do you know if Erika is talking to anyone?
T: Uh.. I don't think so? Why? Do you still love herrrrrrr?

She said poking my shoulder and making faces. I smile back.
J: I miss her so much T.
T: If it helps, we are all rooting that she chooses you again.
J: as a pose to who?
T: Uh... no one. Just we want you two back together.
J: Me too.

I smile at her and walk back out.

Erika's POV-
The party had started and I was already a little tipsy but not too much. I was looking around for someone to dance with. Preferably Anthony but when I finally see him. I see a girl grinding on him. She was from school. Her name is Alex. I think he likes her. My heart hurt a little.
Just then Tessa walked up to me.

T: Who you staring at?
E: No one!
T: Mmhm.. Look i just wanted to tell you that Jake asked me about you today.

My heart raced. I grab her hand and jerk her closer to me.
E: What he ask?
T: Woah tiger. Calm down. He asked me if you were into anyone.
E: Did you tell him anything?
T: No, I just told him that we all are rooting for you to pick him.

My eyebrow rises and i look at her with a confused face.
E: What do you mean?
T: We just all miss Jerika.

She walked away and left me thinking. I do miss Jake.
As i was thinking, Jake was walking my way.

J: Hey Rik.
E: Hey Jake.
My stomach started getting butterflies. I was feeling warm inside.

J: How've you been?
Before i answered i pulled him by his collar and kissed him so passionately. It took him a while to kiss back, but he did..
