Chapter 49- So be it.

Jakes POV-
I had a miss call this morning from a realtor I've been talking to. He left a voice mail about a potential house i could get for Erika and I's new company.
It was in Calabasas. I immediately return his call.

J: Hey Frank. It's Jake. I'm returning your call about the house in Calabasas.
F: Oh yes, It's a new house. Very big and nice. Also in your price range. Would you like to come and see it maybe?
J: That would be great!
F: How does next Tuesday sound?
J: That sounds amazing! Thanks Frank.
F: No problem Jake.

I run over to Erika who was in my room on her phone.
J: Guess what!!!!
E: What?!?!!
J: I may or may not have a house in Cali to look at for Team Ten.
E: Really?! Wait...
J: What?
E: We can't go to cali anymore...
J: Why not?
E: Because we are starting a family here Jake.
J: Why don't we start it in California.. Erika.
E: Because Jake.
J: Oh now you're gonna give me short answers?
E: Yup.
J: Fine I'll go by myself. Next tuesday just incase you're wondering.

She rolled her eyes and just stayed in my bed.
J: So you don't want to do Team Ten anymore??
E: No. Not right now anyways?
J: Well we can't put our life in hold for the baby.
E: Yes we can. We need to focus on it right now.
J: We need careers Erika
E: and you're career will be you vlogging with friends in Calabasas?
J: It's much more than that Erika and you know it.
E: Whatever.

I sit on the edge of my bed on the opposite side of her. I pull out my laptop and start working on Team Ten.
So far I've gotten a COO, his name is Nick Compton and he's from England.
Managers, Agents and everything for the business side of it. I just needed to pitch the idea to the crew so that I can get some talent members.
I texted the new group chat. (without Rocky Sarah or Tessa)

J: Yo, i need to show you guys something. Can y'all meet at my place today?
Tony: Yuh, Chance & I will be there in a few.
K M Chad: We'll be there.

So I potentially had 6 talent members not including Erika, but i needed a couple of more.
I went my twitter and tweeted "If you're interested in being part of a social media influenced group, hmu. We are gonna make it big time.. 🤫😈"
A couple kids DM'ed me. I saw that this guy named Emilio dmed me. He has a twin brother and was interested in being part of my group.
I sent him my address and told him to come with his brother in about thirty minutes.
This gave me two more people. I was up to eight. I wanted more girls than just Makenzie and maybe Erika. So i was scrolling through my dm's and saw Tessa had also replied to me.

T: Hey Jake, I know we didn't end off High School well but i really miss the crew. I miss Erika and Tony, and you. I truly am sorry about kissing you. Also I'd like to join your team. Idc if Chance is on it. I just want to have you guys back in my life.

I looked up at Erika and showed her the message.
E: No.
J: Rik, we need more girls.
E: If you put her on, i'm out. Completely.
J: Erika seriously? Youre making me chose between you and work?
E: No, i'm making you chose me and her.
J: She's business. Nothing more nothing less.
E: Yeah sure whatever.

Erika's been bitchy lately. And i think it might be the baby.
I reply to Tessa and tell her to meet me at my house. She agrees.

Soon enough everyone get here. I go downstairs and leave Erika upstairs.

Chance: So what's up?
J: Okay so I have an Idea for this company i want to start.
Tony: Shoot
J: It's going to be a group of young social media influencers, that live together and make content, help each other and grow together.
Kade: Sounds dope.
Mak: I'm in.
Chance, Tony, Chad: I'm in.
J: Okay i also invited some other people because i want this to be the best group of people. So we need new faces..

I brought in Emilio and Ivan.
J: These are the Martinez Twins.
Chance: Oh, i know them! What's up homies?
E&I: Yo chance!

Everyone got to know them and then i had to tell them about Tessa..
J: So I was thinking...

Everyone looked at me.
J: We need another girl in the team.
Mak: AGREED
J: and since Erika is iffy right now, I had someone else in mind.
Chance: Who?
J: Tessa.
Tony: WHAT
Chad: But she almost ruined your relationship with Erika.
Kade: Where is Erika?
J: Uh okay, one yes she did, but i forgave her and y'all should too. And two, she's upstairs napping.
Mak: She's here?
J: Yes. Upstairs...

Just then the doorbell rings.
J: So what do y'all think?
Everyone: I guess.
Chad: If you can forgive her i think we can too.

I go to the door and open it. It was Tessa.
T: Thanks for answering me Jake.
J: Yeah, sure. Everyone is here.
T: Everyone?

I open the door more so she could come in.
She walks in and makes eye contact with Chance.
T: Hey guys...
Everone: Hey.
Mak: OMG TESSA I MISSED YOU!
T: Really? I thought you hated my guts. I thought you all did.
Mak: I did for a while, but i soon realized how much i missed you .

Mak stands up and opens her arms. Her and Tessa hug and soon everyone gets up to hug her. Except Chance.

T: Hey chance.
C: Hey T.
J: Okay now that everyone's here and on the same page, I think we should talk business.

Everyone nods.
J: I'm going to see a house next tuesday. But it's in Calabasas.
Chad: As in Calabasas California?
J: Yup.
Chance Tony & Kade: I'm so fucking down.
T: sounds cool.
Mak: Wow, so we'll be going to live in California. That sounds amazing.
J: Okay cool.

Just then Erika came down.
E: Are you seriously doing this?
J: Yes Erika. If you don't want to be a part of it then so be it.

She stares at Tessa and rolls her eyes. She goes back upstairs.
T: She hates me.
J: No.. well yes. But don't mind her it's the pregnancy hormones-
T10: WHAT??

Oops... I just told them. Rik is gonna kill me.
