A/N: This chapter is a little longer than usual, but it does move the story into deeper subject matter. Enjoy!

June 27th 1997

If last night was real, then I don't ever want it to end. I felt for the first time, someone put me first and the best thing is, I don't feel bad about it. For a long time, I felt I couldn't be happy unless everyone else was having a good time, but it meant giving up my joy. Rob showed me I can indulge a little once in a while and how it can be fun to do something just to feel good.

It was worth the wait, big time. The way he would sing to me softly and strongly sent chills up my spine. Those bulging muscles, those sexy green eyes, that gap-tooth smile, his soft, wavy braided hair, his smooth, deep sexy voice and fantastic build of an African demigod. He carries the spirit of freedom that I envy sometimes. We feel just perfect within one another.

How can the guy I thought was so arrogant, so out of order and so focused on bringing attention to himself can be so loving, gentle and sweet? The guy who would make me laugh and tell me I'm not alone in being scared. The guy who shares the most interesting and intimate feelings, leading me to do the same. The guy I share myself physically, mentally, spiritually and romantically. I feel like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon and traveling into the clear blue sky. It's a wonderful feeling I don't want to let go.

Kenya closes her journal and Rob walks out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist, drying his hair. "You writing some more steamy fantasies about me?" he asks, smirking. "Maybe..." she teases. Kenya stands up and stretches to go to the bathroom, while Rob gets dressed.

Later, they order some food to eat and think about what to do for the day. Rob suggests they go and check out the city. Kenya agrees since she wants to go to the Lincoln Park Zoo. Before checking out for the day, Kenya remembers her chocolate raisins, which she turns around to look for but sees they are gone. "Rob? Where are my raisins?" Rob tries to run out the door, but is stopped when Kenya pulls him back. "Where are they?". "I may have used them as a tip for a bellhop". "You did? Come here". "No!". He runs off again with Kenya trailing and catches him. "I told you about giving away my raisins". Kenya proceeds to spank him, making him laugh. "Ow! I'm sorry! I'll pay you back!" Rob chuckles. Kenya takes off his jeans and boxers, spanking him more. "Oh my God, you really must love my ass, don't you?" he says. Kenya responds by slapping his tush hard. "Ow! That hurt!". "Are you going to replace my raisins?". "I already did. It's on the counter". He stands up and puts his clothes back on. Kenya finds the bag of chocolate raisins on the counter and sees a note next to it. She opens it. 'I didn't give them away. I know you love these just as much as I love what I would get if they were gone - Rob'. She laughs and shakes her head as they walk out the door.

They leave the hotel for the day and head off to the Lincoln Park Zoo. After entering they learn a little about the history of one of the oldest zoos in the country. Rob and Kenya visit as many sanctuaries as possible. Each animal they see has some form of camaraderie, from a couple of giraffes sharing a branch of leaves to eat, to a family of bluebirds feeding their babies, to chimpanzees making mating calls. When they walk by, they see an older couple, watching a couple of bears tending to their young cub.

The couple seemed to be enjoying the display as they see two bears, nurturing their baby. "They're beautiful, aren't they?" the older woman asks Rob and Kenya. They agree and introduce themselves and the older gentleman joins them. "I'm Oscar and this is my wife, Luna".
