Kenya opens her journal to write another entry.

September 20th 1998

It's hard to believe it's been two months since coming back from our honeymoon in Senegal. I wish it could last longer and we can live there forever, but we have to go back. There were quite a couple of surprises we ended up getting. It started after Rob and I got back home...

Rob and Kenya step out into the parking lot of their apartment building. After going inside, they hear music playing from Rob's apartment. "What's that music playing?" he wonders. He takes out his key and opens the door. Both Rob and Kenya step inside and still hear the music play. They open the bedroom door and find Jordana in bed with Fab, while Keith Sweat's "Nobody" plays.

"What the hell is going on here?!" Rob says. Both Jordana and Fab wake up and see Rob and Kenya and cover up in embarrassment. "Oh my-when did you guys get back?!" Jordana asks. "Just in time, apparently. Fabrice, I thought you went back to L.A.". "I had a layover" Fab answers, covering himself more. "We can see that". "So, this is what you meant by getting to know him better. You two hooked up faster than we did" Kenya says to Jordana, laughing.

"It's not like that. She was stopping by to check your places out and I was still in the area and we talked some more, so we ended up hanging out here" Fab finishes. Rob and Kenya give dubious looks. "Sure, you did. You guys were talking and ended up sleeping together". There's was some knocking and Rob goes to open the door. He sees a woman from the maintenance department.

"Hey Rob, you're back. How was your honeymoon?" she asks. "Hey, it was wonderful. We really enjoyed ourselves". "That's great news, I see you two staying together for a long time. I'm here to take a look at your place, before you can move everything next door". Rob remembers Fab and Jordana still in his bedroom. "Can you stop by tomorrow? We just got back today and we're kinda jet lagged". She agrees to push back the inspection to the next day.

Rob goes back to everyone after she leaves. "You guys are lucky.I got the lady from maintenance to come by and check here tomorrow, she would have caught you two. We would miss the looks on your faces" he laughs. Fab and Jordana blush as the four of them talk about what happened on overseas. Rob and Kenya share how they gone to Saint Louis, Senegal and took part in a music festival. They shared food and performed Mbalax with the locals. "Kenya was dancing?" Jordana asks, teasing. "Yeah, I had to keep up with her" Rob answers. "You had to keep up?" Fab responds in laughter.

They continue sharing their stories for hours, until Jordana and Fab leave together.

...That was pretty eventful. They do look cute together. What happened later was something more exciting...

Kenya is at work, making the final edits to an article, when she gets an unusual feeling. She has been feeling 'off' lately, getting sick in the morning, developing a foul mood at times and feeling extra hungry. She didn't give much thought to this, except thinking she was getting sick, so she goes back to work for the rest of the day.

August 14, 1998

Kenya wakes up feeling 'off' again and gets dressed to get something to eat. Rob was in the kitchen, pouring out orange juice. "Good morning, Kenya" he says, kissing her on the cheek. "You still look ill. Why don't you call out from work today?". "I worked through it last time and the feeling went away, I should be fine" she says, drinking some of the orange juice. "Are you sure? I can stay home with you today until you get back to yourself". "Rob, I know you're worried about me, but I'm O-" Kenya immediately vomits in the sink. "Oh my God! I'm calling you out of work and we're going to the doctor!" Kenya doesn't argue and they leave to go to the hospital.

At the hospital, Rob waits for Kenya in the lobby. He reads a TIME magazine with President Bill Clinton and intern Monica Lewinsky infamously shown on the front cover of the 'Special Report'.

'Infamous', a word Rob was too familiar with after the scandal ruined him and Fab's fame and credibility for some time. 'At least they're not focusing on us' he thinks. In the middle of reading, his mind wanders about what's happening with his wife. Just thinking of the worst disturbs Rob as he tries to find a more positive thought.

After a moment, Kenya comes out to Rob. He looks up and hugs her. "Kenya, are you alright?" he asks. "I'm OK, Rob. The doctor says everything that was happening is normal, so the three of us should be fine". Rob gets confused. "Three of us?". "Mmm-hmm. You, me and...". He figures out where the statement was going. "You mean...?". "We're going to have a baby". Rob holds Kenya and sheds tears of joy. "We're going to be parents! " he announces. Everyone in the lobby applauds them and they go home.

Present Day

...It's been 5 weeks since we heard the news and I'm 6 weeks along today. The doctor says I should deliver sometime before the summer next year. I've never felt so excited about becoming a mother before now.

She hears the door open and sees Rob, holding a few items for their baby. "Hey, honey". Rob kisses Kenya. "Hey, what is all of this stuff?". "All of this are things for the baby, they're from Felix and the cast and crew". They open the bag and pull out various items, like baby booties, clothing, baby formula, pacifiers and other things. Kenya pulls out a miniature soccer ball. "That one is for when the baby grows a little. Maybe I can show him how to play". "Him? what if the baby's a 'her'?". "She can play, too. I want the best for both my babies" Rob says, rubbing Kenya's protruding stomach. They continue to look through all the gifts for their unborn child.

That night as they go to sleep, Rob sees Kenya turning with some stress with expressions of pain. Sleeping on her back was not something she was use to doing before, carrying a 6 week old in the womb made it more challenging. He reaches out and places his hand on her stomach, singing softly to their baby. Rob feels a 'bump' against his hand, like it's saying 'Hi, Daddy'. "Hey, little one. We can't wait to see you". He kisses where his hand was placed and goes to sleep, with Kenya finally settling down.
