December 31, 1997, New Years Eve, 4:45 PM

A full room of reporters and spectators talk among themselves as they await for Kenya to come the front of the room. Some already have cameras ready to get a photo at the first opportunity. Kenya starts to pace and get nervous as the eleventh hour is approaching. "Hey, are you OK?You're getting anxious again" Rob says in concern. Kenya nods as he rubs her shoulders to calm her down. "Maybe I should go with you, for support. I won't say a word". She agrees and they walk out to meet the audience at 5 PM.

Right on cue, photographers start taking pictures of the two as Kenya takes the podium.

"Thank you for coming today, ladies and gentlemen. You most likely want to know why I left without anyone knowing where I've gone, so I'll just tell you. I needed some privacy, something that is becoming so foreign nowadays. Everyday we hear something about the next person and they may not have known how the next guy would find out. Do we even stop to consider how exposing someone's personal life can create dynamics that are undesirable? I couldn't even go to my usual places, finding out the people I've known and worked with were more interested in what they hear, instead. It became to where I needed seclusion to make sense of everything". The audience remains silent as Kenya continues speaking.

"It gave me an option to look at things from a different perspective, one outside of anxiety. This perceptive of 'Who cares?'. There was nothing wrong with what I was doing nor who I'm dating. The only drawback was that my closest friends and my family got very scared that something could have happened to me and to them, I'm sorry. I am not sorry for having someone who I love and cherish and he is that way with me" Kenya says. She walks over to Rob and holds his hand.

"Many of you know Rob or known of him for years, but you haven't taken the time to get to know him personally, if you rather invest in sensationalizing him. Rob Pilatus is a man who's loved me for better or worse and he's shown me that love in many ways. He's even gone as far as looking to find me on his own before getting help. How many of you would do the same for the person you love?". No one answers. "No matter what you think or say about him, we love each other and we are engaged to be married. Thank you everyone for your time and Happy New Year" she concludes.

Rob and Kenya leave the stage as many reporters start to ask them questions and give responses as they continue to walk off. "You were great up there" Rob tells her, kissing her cheek. "Thanks. I'm so glad I did this with you with me". As the two walk towards the exit, there was still one question on their minds, who told the reporters about them?

As if someone were reading their thoughts, they meet up with a reporter, who appeared to have followed their story. "Congratulations on your engagement. You two make a wonderful couple" he says. "Thank you" Rob answers. "I've been doing an investigation about the exposure after Thanksgiving and I have a strong feeling of who told our network. Do either of you know a Rick Ortiz?". Rob and Kenya give a look of shock. "Yeah, he's in our therapy session with Dr. Silas Harper, why?" Kenya asks. "One of our interns told us that he stopped by about 4 months ago, saying he had something interesting about Rob and that he lived here. He had a couple of guys take photos of you two since the July 4th weekend". "She's the only one who knows where I live, next to Dr. Harper" Rob says, pointing to Kenya. "That's what I figured, too. I was told this Rick guy and you were arguing over something that happened to your fiancee and then he overheard something that was said between you and the doctor". Rob thinks back then remembers his talk with Dr. Harper.
