The next morning, Kenya was sleeping soundly when loud noises are suddenly made, waking her up. "What? It's 5:30 in the morning!" The noise gets louder before the door closes. "At least I can go back to sleep" she mutters. After a while, the loud noises return, waking Kenya fully. "That's it!" She gets up and goes to knock on the door of the apartment next to hers. "Hey, turn the noise down!" No one answers and Kenya sees a deep red scarf on the ground. "Where have I seen this before?" She picks it up, puts it on the doorknob and goes back into her apartment to get ready for work.
After arriving at work, Kenya meets up with Jordana, her friend of 6 years. "Hey, girl". Jordana hugs Kenya tightly. "Dana, let go!" Kenya says, laughing. "My bad, I'm just glad that it's Friday" she says releasing her grip. Jordana and Kenya both write for the music department of the MinneMetro, a bi-monthly magazine that focuses on the events of the Metropolitan area. "So what are you doing this weekend and please don't say you'll be here" she tells Kenya. "I don't have anything planned. I was just going to stay home and catch a movie". "OK, I can't let you spend another weekend at home or at work. Other than going to your support group, you don't really go anywhere, unless you have to leave town. I'm worried you're going to end up missing life".
Kenya sighs, knowing Jordana was right. She has been spending a lot of time at work or home, especially since her break-up. "Flyte Tyme Studios is having a release party for Mary J. Blige's new album tonight. You should go. It's free." Jordana shows her the flyer for the release party with Mary J Blige's album cover "Share My World" in the center.
The release date is this coming Tuesday, April 22nd. "Oh, that's right. I knew there was something I should remember". "Come on, it'll be fun. You'll have an excuse to wear that new dress you bought months ago" Jordana pleads. Kenya thinks about it and agrees. "Ok, I'll go, for you". "Yay! We'll have so much fun". "It will definitely keep me awake". "Awake? What are you talking about?". "Girl, I woke up to some loud noises this morning. Someone finally moved into the apartment next to mine". "Wow, who's the new neighbor?". "I don't know. When I woke up this morning, they were already gone. I'll run into them some day" Kenya says.
The ladies go and start their work for the day, promoting the album release in a rush order. It would be one of the biggest assignments of the year for MinneMetro. Jordana has been assigned to review and critique Mary's new album, so the release party would give her some idea of what to expect. Kenya starts drawing up an outline for the promotion. Halfway through, someone walks in with some roses in hand. "Delivery for a Kenya Frasier" says the delivery girl. "That's me" Kenya replies, looking up. The flowers are given to her. "Who are these from?". "I'm not sure, they wanted to remain anonymous". She sets them on her desk, says goodbye and leaves.
