"I feel serene when I'm with you."

Ever since her meeting with Kai, Misaki thought about his words and actions. How he aimed to defeat her, but helped her anyways. How he spared her life as he had the opportunity to annihilate her. She started to think about the last prediction of her fate, and frowned as she was reminded of the last phrase.

"Be careful with your actions, as this may be your most euphoric gift, or your most significant downfall." Misaki whispered, troubled with those very words. Her eidetic memory made her memorize the phrase, clouding her peace.

"What troubles you, Tokura?" Misaki's eyes widened as she heard his voice loud and clear. She looked up to see the brunette with his usual cold expression, however, his eyes had a different look in them. Misaki glared at him, standing up and summoning her weapon and shield.

He closed his eyes, "Relax, I don't plan on taking the relic for now." Misaki's eyes widened in embarrassment as she withdrawed her regalias. She then looked at Kai in confusion.

"Then what is your purpose for coming here, Toshiki Kai? Had you not come here to annhialate me?" Misaki asked as she looked at him, a bit skeptical of his words. He might've just said that to catch me off guard...

"Nothing really, I just thought that this place was a great place to relax. Also, you can call me by one name, Kai, or Toshiki, if you like..." Misaki's eyes widened in amusement and surprise as Kai looked at her with a soft expression. She looked away for a moment before glaring at Kai.

"Tell me, Kai, why are you being so nice?" He raised a brow before laughing out loud. Misaki glared at him annoyed, before realizing what she had done.

"Huh, and it's wrong to be nice to someone?" Misaki covered half of her face with one hand, flustered and embarrassed.

"I didn't mean it to offend you! I-It's just that the demon prince is... acting like something I didn't expect..." Misaki looked away in embarrassment as Kai looked at her with a face full of sarcasm.

"Oh, that definitely didn't hurt."

"I-I humbly apologize!"

Kai flashed a small smile and sat down next to her, breathing in the wonderful breath-taking view in front of him. Misaki looked at him with a raised brow as he suddenly ignored her.

"I know we just met, but honestly, I'm really different when I'm in Cray. Usually in the demon realm, I would be a cold-hearted, terrific person who would kill whoever gets in his way. But, when I'm here, I become an entirely different person who shows his true emotions." Kai confessed, looking up at the beautiful golden blossoms that shielded them from the strong shine of the sun. Misaki listened to his confession, before remembering something about the relic.

"The serenity present in Cray makes one be true to themselves. It basically calms them from any stress." Misaki paused, hesitating to ask. "I've been wondering... Why do you want the relic itself, and not the leaves or the water? I mean-you don't have to answer if you thought the leaves and the water were the relics."

Kai sighed, facing Misaki. "I'm not supposed to tell anyone, but I guess I can trust you." Kai hesitated at first, but told Misaki

"When all of the demon king's sons have past the age of 16, the King has to pass down his role to one of his sons, not just the oldest. In my case, to determine which son will be chosen, Zenaku told us to find-" Kai stopped for a second, realizing what he was about to say. He thought about how Misaki might take it, and what she might think. She looked at him in curiosity, curious as to why he stopped.
