"Ready as I'll ever be."

"Kai!" Aichi exclaimed in relief as the brunette started opening his eyes. Kai saw all four of his brothers in the room he stayed, silent and deadly.

"What happened to you?" Kai sat up and proceeded to answer Ren's question. Ren was no longer his happy-go-lucky self, and Kai could see why.

"Zenaku summoned me. He knows everything. Our plans, our alliance, everything. He took Misaki and the other brides as well. He plans on resurrecting the Ten Commandments with their powers." Kai informed his brothers of the knowledge. Leon hummed.

"So he really wasn't going to hand over the throne to any of us. He just used us." Chrono gritted his teeth.

"Then we have to get them back!" He screamed. Kai closed his eyes.

"Not so fast, Chrono," He told the redhead, who froze. "It's too reckless to just attack out of nowhere. Take note, us human-demon hybrids weaken at the mercy of a full-blooded demon."

"Zenaku's smart," Ren couldn't help but comment. "So that's why he wanted only humans as his brides. To weaken his offsprings and prevent the possibility of us overthrowing him."

Kai nodded his head, "That's why I couldn't do anything when I tried to attack him. He weakened my demon side and left my human side vulnerable."

Aichi let out a deep sigh, "Then what will we do?"

Leon hummed once more, "Zenaku made a mistake."

Everyone in the room turned their attention to Leon, who had a small smile on his face.

"And what would that be?" Kai asked.

"Father chose mortals who had links to ancient magic. Megami Kai was a woman linked with ancient dragon magic. Seiko Suzugamori was one of the strongest dark magic users in the history of magic, a black witch. Natsumi Soryu, my mother, was a human guardian of the seas." Kai closed his eyes, formulating a plan.

Leon continued, "Sumire Sendou was also a white witch who rivaled Seiko Suzugamori, both of them being able to wield the power, PSYqualia. Lastly, Hanabi Shindou was the warrior responsible for sealing the Ten Commandments. Do you now see his mistake?"

"He chose the strongest women, although human, as his consorts. Which could mean we can use those magic as well." Chrono muttered. Ren smiled.

"Well thought, Chrono, but that wouldn't exactly be the best way to go since learning dark and white magic would take years." Kai shook his head.

"Listen to what you truly want to do with the power and all of it will come true."

"I met Mikuru in my dream. She told me something, 'Listen to what you truly want to do with the power and all of it will come true.'" Kai told everyone.

"You met Mikuru?" Chrono's eyes widened with the hope of seeing his aunt. Kai looked at him with sad eyes.

"She died on the day she received that curse. She was punished by both the demon king and the Supreme Deity.  It's only her soul that remains here. But yes, I met her in my dreams." Chrono's hands balled up into fists, and Ren put his hand on Chrono's shoulder.

"Warrior Princess Kourin, she is Mikuru and Shin's daughter." Kai didn't forget to tell them that detail. Everyone's eyes shot up in amusement and shock.

"Mikuru had a daughter? But, Kourin's only 19!" Aichi rebutted.

"Kourin ages slowly, I'm sure that's one thing she hasn't told you yet."

Kai closed his eyes, before opening them back up once more and getting out of his bed. The wounds were still there, but he was sure they would heal soon.

"For now," Everyone's attention went to Kai. "We need to change our plans and call the leaders of each clan once more. Also, we need to enhance our demon power since we will be needing it for our battle."

Kai looked at each of his four brothers with determination in his eyes.

"Get ready."

Misaki fluttered her eyes open to see four other girls inside the cage she was in. She recognized them to be the lovers of the other demon princes.

Kourin was resting her head on Misaki's shoulder, and when Misaki tried to get up, she stirred in her sleep. Soon, her eyes started to open.

"W-Where... am I?" She muttered. Misaki smiled at her.

"You're at the demon realm with the other chosen brides." Kourin nodded and looked away from Misaki.

"I don't think I fully introduced myself to you, though," Kourin muttered before looking at Misaki and extending her hand. "I'm Kourin Tatsunagi, the Warrior Princess of the Royal Paladin Kingdom."

Misaki gladly shook it, before seeing a glimpse of who she truly was. "A-Ah, I'm Misaki... Tokura, the protector of the ancient tree, Cray."

Kourin smiled. Soon, the others started waking up. As soon as everyone woke up, Misaki told everything.

"It was a trap," She told them. "The purpose of the bride hunt was to find a good source of power for the resurrection of the Ten Commandments."

"That's bad, real bad." Asaka couldn't help but mutter. "Considering I've just reawakened my black magic."

Misaki couldn't help but agree. "I'm sure the boys are formulating a plan to stop Zenaku. But, we can't just sit here and wait for them."

Tokoha inspected the writings written of the cage, then spoke up. "I know a way to get through these kinds of cages, but it's going to be risky."

Sharlene nodded, agreeing. "So do I. This is an ancient demon spell that absorbs the magic from its prisoner and gives it to the capturer."

"However, there is a limit to the amount of magic that the cage can absorb. So, if we go past that limit, then the cage will break." Tokoha continued.

Misaki nodded, "So, how high is the amount of magic power that is needed to break this type of cage?"

Tokoha and Sharlene looked at each other in worry, "Limit Break."

"Huh?" Asaka was confused.

"This cage is special. It needs the prisoner to go out of their limit themselves in order for them to break it. That's when Limit Break happens. When you go out of your limit, your power level increases." Tokoha explained.

Sharlene continued. "So if all prisoners go over their limit, then there's a chance we all can go out."

Misaki hummed, "I see. Is there another way?"

The fairy and siren booth shook their heads.

Misaki sighed.

This was going to take longer than they thought, especially for Misaki.

So, a few hours ago I got the memo that we wouldn't be having our exams anymore, so I'm super free with writing now.

Here in our city, we got one month of community quarantine. We now have a curfew that ends at 10.

Here in the Philippines, the number of cases went over 100. The youngest was patient 135, a thirteen year old. Doesn't help that she's the same age as me.

So please, I beg of you. Take care of yourselves.
