Loneliness is a physical and emotional state. If you are physically alone, you are without the physical presence of human beings. If you are emotionally alone, you are without likeminded companionship. No one understands you. This to me is more harmful than physical loneliness. People can be added to any scenario; however, feelings are hard to change and decipher. What good is a room full of people when you have no ability to connect with them. It means nothing. So many people are walking down the street every day with a common condition. "Failure to Thrive" due to emotional detachment. It destroys and it kills. Young, old, rich, and poor. No amount of money can cure emotional isolation. Who really understands you? Who really understands me? Apart from God, I really don't know anymore...
