This weekend we are celebrating Memorial Day. For most people, it is a long weekend with lots of parties and barbecues. It is the unofficial kick-off of summer. For those who have or have had a friend or loved-one serving in the military, it is a day to honor those who have given their lives in service for our country. These men and women have died to protect us. Our country is not perfect. We have made mistakes. Yet, they believe in democracy and freedom enough to die for it. What do you believe in? Would you die for it? Jesus died to give us freedom from sin and life - everlasting with Him. A Brand New Life. 2Corinthians 5:17 says, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." Look at what you have been given. What does that mean to you? What will you do to nurture and grow in the freedoms Christ has given you? Is it worth dying for?....
